Looks useful. Out of stock at the moment and may not be honoured (just like my £4.99 trackball ) but worth a punt if you need one or would like to have one in a drawer for emergencies(?)

There are others at £5.99 and you can get them for a couple of quid or so from China so it's not that crazy of a price, but I'd have to agree this was probably a misprice.

Agree. Assume it was £12+ looking at the other stuff 'premium cord' sell?

Fire waiting to happen

Google "Fire" and "SATA" and you'll find a lot of images of these and other chinesium monstrosities
This looks like a great idea and safe. Ooh thunder, just going to head to the middle of the nearest field
The safety seems to be with how the cables are connected to the connector. I went with the type that passes through (rather than into) the connector. Info here
