Luxembourg B 118 349 and with registered office at 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449, Luxembourg.

Please note: Home delivery only!
Not possible to pay by PayPal and collect in store!
So doesn't work with promotions that require in store purchase (i.e. the £20 off a tablet). However, Argos still give you the £5 off £50 and £10 off £100 vouchers (which can only be used on-line).

They do use the phrase 'Eligible Customers' a number of times in the terms and conditions. Is it definitely for anyone as I remember there being problems with a previous paypal offer.

How do you find out if you're eligible? ... Not seeing on the paypal site and the link is just to Argos

Re-reading the first post it seems this is the major sticking point...

(b) have received an email from PayPal inviting you to participate in the offer

Overly bloated RRP's with Argos anyway. Will probably bring things to a normal price.

It does say that you have to received an e-mail from PayPal to take part but also says "create or have a UK PayPal account in good standing".
So if you don't receive the e-mail you could open another account?

Also the offer doesn't expire 'till December 17th - so they should keep sending e-mails until the £65,000 is exhausted

"How do I know this is not a Spoof email?
Spoof or ‘phishing’ emails tend to have generic greetings such as "Dear PayPal member". Emails from PayPal will always contain your full name."

This e-mail contains my full name and the links go to PayPal sites

Whats the point in posting this, if you are only eligible if you had an email from them, therefore already know about this deal or are not eligible.

Exactly what I was about to say lol
I bet most people voting hot haven't even had the email either

this is a pointless deal

should go in with deals for people who get discounts because they work at tesco etc

Anyone had this email and won't be using it !!???
I wonder if you can use it towards purchases on eBay using PayPal

You need an email unfortunately. Doesn't look like it's for everyone.

So millions of Paypal customers will receive £10 vouchers for Argos even if they reside in Cambodia or Guam or some other country.

Paypal would go bust overnight methinks which is no bad thing in my opinion !

and ends when payouts reach 65,000.. so no, won't be millions.. and I've just gotten the email so clearly they are sending them in batches..

topcash offering 2% on linked cards
and amex offering 10£ off £50 spend in agros which i am opted into.

my amex is linked to my paypal, i cant see anything stopping me using this for spend of £50 on argos (providing i receive a paypal email).

so i could have;
£50 spend,
£10 Paypal back as using amex via paypal
£10 amex back
and £1 (2% of my spend) via tcb

so £29 for £50 of goods?

lets hope i get this email!

If you buy the Kindle Fire HD and get the £20 too that means you get it for £51 what a bargain that would be!

Two problems! 1) You can't pay with PayPal and collect in store. 2) The Amex cashback offer has expired.

Hopefully I'm wrong

rosscopark

Hopefully I'm wrong

you are

i got this too. it's legit.

shame that you have to pay the stupid delivery charges on the cheap items.

In the OPs defence I don't regularly look in my email account registered with Paypal. I could check it more frequently if I see the need to, following them posting this deal.
Edited by: "Meathotukdeals" 3rd Dec 2014

I received the e-mail from PayPal half an hour stating exactly what OP has mentioned. Can't think of it as an open deal but at least this post helped me pay attention to the e-mail from PayPal.

Tried this but i nervously only went as far as select payment method. Maybe it's my phone but there was no option to checkout with PayPal.

I'm inclined to believe the PayPal rep who told me that all PayPal UK members will eventually receive the e-mail - IF the allotted £65,000 doesn't run out first.

Comment

Well obviously the Amex "spend £100 get £10 statement credit" deal won't work in conjunction with this as Amex's deal works by looking for a transaction paid to Argos and if you pay by Paypal it will show as paid to Paypal!

However it should work with Argos' own £5/£10 voucher offer for £50/£100 spend.

Plus Double Nectar Points

Every time I have ever used Paypal with Argos, they have cancelled my order due to issues with taking payments, despite a balance of £100s in my account. Cold.

Excellent saving... thanks

Brilliant deal.

Bought something a few hours ago, just got back in from the store to pick it up from Argos and I've realised they've taken the £50.58 out of my account. I am not please at all. No 10 quid discount at all. Going to email them.
