Seems like a good offer if you are thinking of getting eshop credit anyways. Note these are physical cards and the offer excludes preowned switch games.
It could get you Bayonetta 1+2 for £47 with £15 eshop credit. It could also get you fire emblem warriors for £40.99 with £15 eshop credit.

Here is the terms and conditions. link

Shallow AND not much depth?

I think his criticism was aimless and lacked direction.

Good for la noire. £35 with the £15 eshop credit. So la noire for effectively £20.

Yeah there’s a bunch but I can’t list all of them here.
Been trying to redeem a gift card this morning on the e-Shop, but it's got an 8 digit code and not the 16 digit one needed.

Have EMAILED Nintendo as there seems to be a lot of people with the same problem (bought from Sainsburys).
Do you think this offer is available in-store?

Yeah it is according to the terms and conditions
Good deal if you need credit, voted hot.
Only few games are at rrp though...
Thanks OP. Got 1-2 Switch. Anyone know if it's any good? Wanted a fun party game
I assume this isn't included on digital games?

I don't know what the hell is going on with this issue!?!?! I bought a eshop card from Sainsburys in Bude a few months ago with the same issue. Goggled it and only found a couple of other mentions with no real response from Nintendo. Rather than deal with Nintendo I took it back to the barnstaple Sainsburys store for a refund. I scratched a dozen there (£15 and £25) and they all had only 8 digits. This issue seems to be with the new full colour cards with yoshi etc pictured. The older mario kart eshop cards are fine.
I could not find any solution as it definitely requires a 12 digit code to redeem. So I no longer but eshop cards. As a note, both Sainsburys removed the cards from the shelf shortly after I mine refunded and I havnt seen them sold since. I'm just glad the guy on CS was a fellow gamer and understood my predicament.

@Dragon32 just take it back to Sainsburys for a refund. I did email Nintendo but they were very pinicty. They wanted a photo of my receipt, both sides of the card which I did then they wanted a better close up of something (I can't remember) but it seemed ridiculous to me at the time. Then having read about someone still waiting weeks for Nintendo to resolve the issue I decided to get a direct refund from from Sainsburys sooner rather than later instead.

Its fun the 1st time you play it with a bunch of friends, but you'll never want to play it again after you've done all the games, I only still play it because my 4 year old loves it
Best deals I can see on there excluding the £15 voucher are

MK8D = £31.99
Bayonetta 2 = £32.99
LA Noire = £19.99
1 2 Switch = £22.99
Rayman Legends = £19.99
Payday 2 = £29.99
Dragon Quest Builders = £24.99
Fire Emblem Warriors = £25.99

Will give it a whirl at this price. Cheers though
Cool voted hot, bought Mario Kart 8 + £15 credit for £47, not the worst price I suppose seeing as Mario Kart has rarely been below £40 (I know there is a deal currently...but it's still a saving) and £15 towards when Yooka Laylee goes on sale or whenever Nintendo announce their virtual console system for the switch
It's an OK deal. But with games prices it just brings them down to prices you can get them from elsewhere. Unluckily I got £100 eshop credit a week ago for trading in my switch games 🤣
Interesting deal this. I'll pop into my local at lunch and see if I can get a decent deal. Cheers Op.

Yeah, there have been so many deals like this:

They come along every single day...

I had the same problem over Christmas. My son got given a gift card (was bought in Sainsbury) and when we went to apply the credit we had 8 digits and they wanted 16. Googled it and it appears it is not uncommon (if not uncommon why haven't they fixed it!) and found out what to do.

Email customer-support@nintendo.co.uk with a photo of the gift card showing the 8 digits and a photo of the Sainsbury receipt and they will sort it out for you. Took about a week for the new code to come through.
Does that eshop card work on South Africa district?

I believe the post was a dig at eShop prices. You're "saving" a tenner on a hard copy of a game by buying £15 of eShop credit. Which is fine, if you want one of the cheap indie games that go on promotion regularly. If your intention is to buy big releases, like Mario Kart and Mario Odyssey, there's no real saving here versus buying hard copies of both. You'll "save" a tenner on the hard copy and then lose most of that buying from the eShop.

Yeah nice one Game. Was about to hit up Mario + Rabbids as it has been £35 brand new and then it’s been put up to £48!

I have had a reply from Nintendo and they are asking for photos of each side of the card and also serial number of Switch, username etc which is not a problem, but they are asking for a scan of the receipt which I don't have as it was a gift and the person who bought it cannot find it.

May go back into my local Sainsbury and see what they say.

Only problem is we don't have a receipt as it was a gift. I normally keep them for a while when buying for somebody else, but the person that bought it cannot find it.

I can email you a picture of the receipt I used if that would help?

Clearly there is a problem with these cards which should have been sorted out ages ago.

Buying Mario Kart today and saving £10, then using the £15 credit in an eShop sale down the line (because I never buy full price on there), I'm quids in. It's a cracking deal as far as I can see (but not for every game), just about biding your time to use the credit.

Yeah I agree. La noire was £22 recently, bayonetta was 35 with original as download included. And choose anything u haven't listed and it's a different story. Mario odyssey was £60 in store. Even used titles were 40-50. I was trading in so looked for anything at a half reasonable price and found nothing near prices from base or amazon.

Yeah I sent photos and gave my details like they said assuming it would be ok, but they weren't good enough and wanted more. So I thought sod it - I'm not waiting weeks for them to possibly not believe me. It will be more difficult to return to Sainsburys then, so I'll return to Sainsburys 24hours after purchasing the card and ask them for my money back. Under UK law it's the retailer that's responsible anyways. It's odd that it's only Sainsburys that seems to be affected.
