What's the fee on a £100 Vanilla Mastercard Gift Card?

What's the fee on a £100 Vanilla Mastercard Gift Card?

I think it's £3.95 for a £50 card

Surely you can't get 15% off a money card with a 7.9% fee?

You can get 15% off a £25 Vanilla Mastercard with a £2.95 activation fee so you end up paying £23.76, but don't bother. I bought one yesterday and had no end of trouble spending it.
It was declined in Tesco, Morrisons and Home Bargains, though it was accepted in Asda and Toolstation. In each place I made sure the amount spent was within the credit left on the card so that wasn't the issue.
Also, because its not "Chip & Pin" you have to remember to swipe it down the channel on the side of the card reader so it can read the magnetic strip. If you just push it in the slot as you do with other credit cards it won't work.
To sum up, a complete pain in the arse, never worth the £1.24 saving.

Thanks, unfortunately I didn't see your reply before I went into Sains today and discovered it is only the £25 cards in the offer not the £50 ones. Bought 4 anyway for a huge £4.96 saving mainly because I need to spend 2k in 3 months on my Amex to trigger the 20k points worth £100. I will I guess try and use the cards online, hopefully they will work with eon energy who tale most of the prepaid cards.
