A small saving but good timing as I just bought some headphones for this. It's certainly immersive on games that use it such as AC Origins.

The offer is also available with the "Get Dolby Access" app: microsoft.com/en-…4w8

"An add-on for the Dolby Access An add-on for the Dolby Access app, Dolby Atmos for Headphones enables your Windows 10 PC to deliver a premium, immersive headphone experience."

What headphones support this?

I believe any headphones can use it. Over ear headphones are recommended.

Amazing, thanks OP. My trial runs out in just over a week - couldn't be much better timing!!

I've been loving Atmos on my headphones. The positional sound feels super accurate which works amazingly for things like shooters and horror games. Try Sonic and the Atmos trial and see which you prefer. For me Atmos sounded better and well worth the low fee.

I really should give these a go

Is it worth it? I've read conflicting reports about its efficacy. Some people say that Windows Sonic is better, even though it's free?!

It's Black Friday and they give us a mere 20% on a product that should be 50% less than what it is

Well I thought this was a big bargain before this deal and will definitely get this as my trial is out in a week....it's awesome

This is the first time I've heard about this, Would this make any difference to Astro A40's I also use the mixamp? I'm getting excellent audio at the minute on my pc and with the xbox I use the official wireless headset or Logitech G933, Thanks.

Btw, this used to cost €14,50 a few weeks ago... what gives? It's more expensive now, even with the "discount"!

Ive been reading though some comments from people that use the mix amp, as I have one too.

General concensus is some prefer just the mix amp, others can hear better using atmos. Community seem split on the benefits.

If you do, you need to set:
xbox optical output as stereo uncompressed
In game audio set to headphones / stereo
Mix amp to Pro logic II

Hope that helps

I'm sure it's a good app but it's well overpriced. Overwatch has it built in and sounds really good when you enable it.

It's pretty subjective really. However with Atmos when it launched and for a while afterwards it was bugged for a lot of people. There were many issues that people were encountering whether it be specific setups or headsets that just weren't working correctly with Atmos enabled.

Those issues have pretty much silently been resolved now as far as I can tell, but a lot of people's perceptions stem from those early days when they tried it out and found it to sound noticeably worse than Sonic.

Basically give the trial a shot, see what you think. No harm - it's free to try!
