Sainsbury's staff (I work for Sainsbury's ) have been given the heads-up that there will be a wine deal later this month. Buy 6 or more bottles of wine and get 25% off between Friday 22nd and Monday 25th February.

Excludes bottles under £5, bottles 200ml and under, all House branded wine, all fortified wine (Port, Sherry etc.), boxed wine, and gift sets. Maximum 36 bottles per customer. Offer not available in Scotland.

An especially good offer if you like the Taste The Difference Prosecco, as it's on offer @ £8 a bottle until the 26th.

I do not work for Sainsbury’s but I can give you a heads up that between Friday 22nd and Monday 25th February wine that is typically discounted by about 25% will miraculously return to it’s full RRP.

Finally! My stocks are beginning to dry up
Any new customer delivery codes to combine with?
Voted hot. But when I bought last time they mixed my drinks. I got only 5 Pinot noir with one merlot of of the same brand.

Any that's on offer now willost likely still be on offer when the 25% off comes around.
Hi is crabbies ginger wine classed as a wine (so included in offer) or a fortified wine (so excluded
I don't have a Sainsbury's close to me.

Do Tesco normally put on a 25% off offer if rivals do?
thanks for the heads up
Thanks for the info. On our last bottle of prosecco and 3 bottles of pinot. I'm sure our wine cellar (aka understairs cupboard) can last a few more days.
Starts tomorrow - yay! Although I have noticed them getting sneaky now with wines that were £5 now going to £4.95 so they aren't included in the deal. Still some decent wines for £5 making them £3.75 a bottle.
I quite like the Phantom River Malbec which is a fiver >> HERE

Just tried to use this with the £18 off £60 new online shopping accounts but wouldn’t work. It says alcohol is exempt for that offer. Annoying as it worked last week on an order of just wine and ale.
Anyone else had any luck?
I think the £5 minimum is taking the Micheal
Some decent prices on Mumm and Moet at the minute, £25 and £28 before the 25% off...

I know in-store the wine offer often doesn't allow other offers that would work.

Thank Goodness.

But you do get free prescriptions...
My local Sainsbury’s has been having a “bin end” style sale for the last few days with 40 % off a bunch of their more expensive wines. I was hoping it would last through to this morning

It did! Went in at 08.00 this morning and picked up 36 bottles (38 if you double count the Magnums). Taste the Difference Chablis reduced from 11 to 6.60 then 25% off that. Petit Chablis a little bit cheaper. Magnums of TTD Malbec reduces to £10.20 then 25% off that.

Now... to find space to store it all! 37118405-GELYp.jpg

Picked some up today, thanks OP.

There were some good deals available - like a Barefoot Pinot Grigio for £3.60 which takes it out of the deal, but a good price. Got half a dozen bottles at a decent price too.

Fortified wines not included in the offer. They always used to be but lately both Sainsbury's and Tesco have stopped. Shame as I used to stock up with Port and Sherry.
Thank you - managed to get 37 bottles to restock on a work trip to Preston and sneak them over the border back to Scotland saved £45 !
Do Sainbury's provide boxes or do you have to sort yourself out with them?

But you get free university and free NHS prescriptions, so with that money saved you've got extra £'s to spend on booze

They provide them in the aisles and in fact someone offered me another on at the tills.

As others have said this has been one if the better 25℅ deals. Still some wines on good offers, some okay wines left at £5, and some sale RTC wines left out.

Probably one of the better deals is the TTD Prosecco - normally £10, special offer £8, so £6 with the 25% offer. Shame it wasn't the Cremant but you can't have everything.

As I have said before the duty on a bottle of wine is fixed at £2.86 per bottle. Including VAT taxes on a bottle sold at £3.75 is £3.49 - 26p profit. The supermarkets are making a loss on every £5 bottle anyway.

Well, the good news is that you've only paid £4.69 for it at Sainsbury's!

You're clearly very 'well red'!

Would you say this is better than the Villetta Sauvignon Blanc?? Currently £7 instead of £8.50 + 25%off.

It appears that's a "Sainsbury's exclusive" which has antagonised the distributers of Villa Maria 'cos the name and label look like a "rip off". I see it doesn't get very good reviews on the Sainsbury's website. I suspect the Brancott Estate would be a safer bet or, maybe safer still, might be a selection to "hedge your bets". There are quite a few Sauvignon Blancs at around that price which get good and recent reviews on the Sainsbury's website. Some are recommended here as well as an Albarino and Pinot Blanc which may be worth considering. Best of luck.

Yes I thought the same when I saw it, you couldn't get more alike without being exactly the same - surprised they can get away with it really. Well I went last night and bought 1 of each the Brancott Estate and Villetta so I will try both. Stocked up for a while now! Thanks for the comment. Happy wine tasting 🍷👌
