There is £15 cashback via voucherbox if you spend over £350 at John Lewis. Used it last week as JL price matched for me Samsung mu6400 and voucherbox confirmed £15 is on the way to my paypal acc.

It would be good if you could add the TV size to the title.

How much better is the sony xe90 than this model? Since it's about £400 more

I can't claim to have compared them side by side. But if you do your research you'll see a considerable difference in performance between the two, most importantly the XE90 uses Sony's new X1 HDR processor capable of 1000HZ refresh rates. The XE90 also has a full array LED display, so darker blacks a brighter colour range. It's all very impressive, but in the end we're talking nearly double the XE80.

"The XE90 and XE85 stand above the XE80 thanks to use of Sony’s X1 4K HDR processor. This should mean excellent rendering and upscaling of 4K quality visuals, while the HDR range will offers deep blacks, bright lights and punchy colours. It also means these Sony TVs are able to offer Motionflow XR 1000Hz refresh rates, for smooth moving images.

The XE80 uses Sony’s 4K X-Reality Pro processing, which was the top-end offering from Sony not too long ago. This means you’re still able to get a high quality viewing experience for both 4K and HDR without having to break the bank."

I purchased this one myself from JL using Live Chat, it's arriving next week. So I can confirm that they will indeed PM it.

The XE90 isn't available in 43". It's two models above so it has various generally refinements like a better anti-glare coating, faster refresh rate, as well as a local dimming system so it can show HDR.

It's the LCD panel that's generally the limiting factor for the refresh rate, even cheap processors could drive 100hz TVs like the XE90.

MotionFlow XR 1000hz is Sony's rating of the TV's motion processing features in comparison to others in their range and not a refresh rate.

Blimey! They changed that quickly, well it was £549, but clearly Marks Electrical have increased the price. Sorry coolj877 end of deal :(.

LED refers to the illumination source. LED rather than compact florescent etc... The display panel is LCD.

Just my luck I have been looking to buy this TV every time I visit a store its either sold out or the price goes up...

I planned on waiting to see if the LG SJ800V Super UHD Smart TV was going to come back in stock on a similar or better price at £599 after Xmas, but the best TV I've ever owned was a Sony Bravia and this looks like a good deal. I've had it years with no problems at all. Get this with the extra £15 off with voucherbox from JL for £534 or wait. What to do!

Same thing happened to me coolj877, keep an eye out for a change of price on this one though. I expect it will come back down again soon.
