need to know the prices of the products to know if this is a truly hot deal but it seems very good. Shame there arent any shell garages near me.

More than likely the items will be overpriced enough to make it more efficient to get them with you're weekly shop and pay full price on the petrol.

At least it probably will be for my car that holds 30 litres.. so would save £3 if i brought 5 qualifying items

having to buy something near the equivalent saving you would make is hardly a deal.

in fact at petrol pump prices no doubt its going to cost you even more!

Not really a deal, some of those products are very very expensive so I doubt you would be making a saving.

If they were genuinely looking to benefit customers they'd just reduce the price of the fuel.

The government makes fuel expensive, and not so much the forecourts.

Can't see any single item they'd likely sell for less than a pound to cancel out the 2p per litre saving on a 50 litre fill up.

If you were going on a long trip and wanted 5 items of munch and got £5 off your fill up it's good

We need to know the prices of the items really. How much fuel would I need to buy to get a 'free' chocolate bar..?

Didn't Tesco try this scam a few months ago?

No Ginsters = No Deal

I was filling up at Shell and saw this ... Cadbury Dairy Milk 120g / Cadbury Dairy Milk Bubbly 90g and 100g were £1 a bar, filled up with 50 ltrs so I would have got one bar free, not bad I suppose?

The kerbside advert on the forecourt is really misleading.
There is no mention of any other purchase necessary visable on the sign and I did not see anything in the filling station.
Staff did not draw my attention to the promotion and I came away feeling conned.
Just another scam from a company that I thought I could trust.
Will shop for my fuel elsewhere.
