Some of you may remember me posting this fantastic deal last year....thought it was worth reposting as several things have changed since then!
(please note: someone else posted this deal 3 months ago, copy and pasting the title from my previous post. The price has increased since then so the savings he advertised weren't right, and also one attraction has changed since...hence me posting again with correct info).

~Family Stay, Play, Explore Family Fun Break ONLY £129 For A Family of 4 :)~
Breaks still showing availability for the two upcoming May Bank Holiday Weekends.

**Make sure you pay through the website link given, else you will be unable to get attraction tickets prior to booking in at hotel. So if you want to visit an attraction on the day of your break, you will need the tickets emailed to you by Go Leicestershire.

*Saves you a massive £192.80, based on a Family of 2 Adults and 2 Children(over 5) taking advantage of the most expensive hotel and attractions! (Normal cost for top price hotel and attractions £321.80)*

This a smashing offer! You have a choice of five 4* Hotels With Pools including:

Hinckley Island Hotel~ thehotelcollection.co.uk/hot…re/

Rooms are suitable for a Family of 4 and include Breakfast. The most expensive hotel with breakfast would usually set you back £146.50 alone!

**Please note: Guests choosing the Hinckley Island Hotel will qualify for a free upgrade to an Executive Room **

Then you choose 3 of the 5 fantastic Days Out for your family.
The choices are as follows.....
National Space Centre~ spacecentre.co.uk/
Conkers~ visitconkers.com/
Twycross Zoo~ twycrosszoo.org/
Twinlakes~ twinlakespark.co.uk/
and new for this year....
Stonehurst Farm~ stonehurstfarm.co.uk/

If you visit the priciest attractions of the 3, they would usually cost £175.30!

No need to worry about not using all of the tickets up on your break, they can be used at another time before 31/12/2015. Alternatively, you may want to add an extra night to your break at a discounted cost.

I went last year and had a Brilliant Time....lots of other HUKD members also took advantage of this break and posted reviews. Feel free to have a peek, also includes my review......
hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…=13

This Break is available all year round, including all school holidays subject to availability so why not treat the kids and have as much fun as we did?!

Good deal this. Went last year and had a great (cheap) time

Good value, but I live across the road from Sketchley Grange Hotel, so not much of a deal for me. Heat added.

I'd warn against the Hilton in Leicester. Has to the worst in the UK. ALL the rooms have connecting doors and you can hear everything from the rooms either side of you.
We were treated to the couple next door rolling in at 3am, her then vomiting loudly for a good half hour and then crying until 8 in the morning. Complained at reception next morning (as we had especially requested a quite area) and the staff couldn't give a toss.

We did this last year and we all really enjoyed it. The hotel (Hinckley Island) was very clean and to a great standard and the days out were fab too (especially the space centre).

Hi thanks for this deal. just a couple of questions.
. if you book 2 nights do you get breakfast on the 2nd day?
. It states you can't go to space centre on a premium event is it all events or just certain as the dates we want to go there some kind of premium event?
thanks

Original Poster

Hi. With regards to the 2nd night stay, I am sure that Breakfast is included. As far as premium events go with the Space Centre, I would advise you to contact them directly to ask if your tickets will be valid on the date you want to go. They will know all about these vouchers as when I went last year, there must have been at least 5/6 of us with them-and that was just whilst I was queueing! Best to avoid any possible disappointment, give them a call on 0116 261 0261, alternatively if you tell me the date you want to go I could find out for you tomorrow :-)

sounds like a good deal but I've got 4 kids ranging from 3 years to 12

Sorry about that, you probably need a break more than most lol!
Unfortunately, would require 2 deals for that party size as an extra room and attraction tickets would be needed.

We were going to go to Skye for a few days but decided against it as the B&B wanted £133 for a night for 2 adults and 2 kids. At £129 for the hotel, breakfast and the tickets that's a great price, quite fancy a trip, typical hubby is working this weekend though!

Crikey...£133 just for B&B?! Sounds like this deal would be ideal then
Well even if you can't go this weekend....the offer is valid all year round, even times we would consider 'peak' like summer school holidays(subject to availability of rooms in the hotel.)
So you will have to get on his case now lol!

Go to Hinckley Island then.

I have 3 kids, the youngest is a baby under 1 year old. Wonder how that would work, would I need to buy an extra ticket, or as she's under 2, would it be free.
Anyone know?

I believe children under 2 are free at all the attractions (95cm height restriction at Twinlakes). Most hotels will provide a cot in the room for you free of charge, the Hinckley did when we stayed. Breakfast is free for children under 5.
Here is the Hinckleys child policy:
Accommodation:

 Accommodation for up to two children aged 16 or under is free when sharing with two adults in a standard guest bedroom; a single supplement applies when only one adult is in the room.
 Upgrade charges apply for larger rooms.
 Additional rooms for children aged 6 to 16 will benefit from a 50% discount on the adult rate, excluding sales and pre-payable rates.
 To accommodate a family in our guest bedrooms, in some cases a foldaway bed will be used. Should you require a cot, please ask at the time of booking.

If you need a babysitter during your stay, babysitting and mobile crèche services are provided by Safehands Babysitters UK, an external, fully registered child minding agency. You should make all your arrangements for a child minder direct with Safehands by calling them on 0844 848 2810 or visiting them online at safehandsbabysitters.com which requires 48 hours notice.

The Hotel Collection is not the provider of the babysitting service. We do not permit members of staff to babysit guests’ children at any time, unless they are registered by Safehands Babysitters UK. We do not offer a baby listening service. You shouldn’t need to, but if you wish to make a complaint about any service provided by Safehands Babysitters UK, you should do so directly with them on the telephone number above or in writing to Safehands Network Ltd, Blackpool Football Stadium, Seasiders Way, Blackpool, FY1 6JJ.

Meals:

 Breakfast is free for children aged 5 and under.
 Breakfast for children 6 to 12 is charged at £3.50.
 Children 5 years and under can choose a free two-course children’s meal with a full paying adult.
 Children’s menu available for children up to 12 years and charged as taken.
 Children between 6 and 12 may order from the restaurant menu and benefit from a 50% discount.
 Children over 13 are classed as young adults and pay full rate for meals as taken.
 Family dining times may apply.

Hope that helps?

Thanks for the detailed answer Kelli.
Really helpful.
I'm sure it's also fine, will probably call the Hinckley first to double check, as that seems like the most family friendly.
Cheers

Hey limo, I've done this a few times now, staying at the Marriott - great hotel. Very clean and amazing breakfast! For the attractions, they're generally free for under 2's so you wouldn't need to buy additional tickets.

By all means call the Hinckley personally to make sure that its all ok. Make sure you book via the link above, so that you are emailed your attraction tickets in advance as opposed to getting them at the hotel on arrival. When you use the online booking form it gives you the option to request a cot. Don't include your under 2 in your party total
This is what I was told last year by Richard @ Go Leicestershire(the promoter):
**Children under 3 are not included in your booking number, please just note in the free type section of the booking page you have an infant and you can request a cot here.

We did this last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went to the space centre and the theme park type place and stayed at the marriott

I think Twycross Zoo is fab, we especially liked the bit where you can feed the birds....great fun apart from being s*at on lol!!

Shame they've taken Snibston off the list this year. I see its on the heritage one but kids won't be interested in any of the other ones in the heritage offer. Not sure why they can't just give you a choice of 6 if they wanted to add the farm this year. Will still be doing this as its such good value. Thanks for the reminder.

Snibston has probably gone off the list as it's being closed down at the end of July . The Hinckley Island and Sketchley Grange are definitely much better choices than the Hilton at Leicester. (I got married at Sketchley Grange )

Great. Hope you have a brilliant time

We did this last year - great value - but avoid Hinckley Island, awful.

Actually, the room was nice enough but the restaurant was expensive and rubbish and there were several large, noisy corporate events going on on the night we stayed.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay at the Hinckley. We enjoyed our stay, and so did others who left their feedback the last time I posted the deal. Did you raise the issues with the hotel?

I think food at most hotels can generally be quite pricey. For those who would prefer to eat on a budget, may I suggest several restaurants within a 5 minute easy drive from the hotel. You have The Three Pots (Harvester), The Hinckley Knight (Flaming Grills Pub) and Cross Keys(Marstons Pub).

All booked, cheers Op

Hi. It very much depends on the age of your children. How old are they? :-)

Just booked this again for the August bank holiday weekend, Shame the tickets are only valid after the hotel date as last year I didn't get to use the last of my vouchers due to work. We booked the Marriott in Leicester again as it was very nice last year.
