Wouldn't go with Vodafone if they paid me
Not really a deal, but good to know for those who don't. They always ask you when buying through a person. It's good amount which you could save, I've been using the discount for last 5+ years.

They have always been able to match or beat the price of rivals for me and never had any problems.

Also a very good benefit of this discount is that you can share it with 5 other friends or family. And as well you keep the discount even if you leave working for the company until you change your contract.
Done this for years.
I always use to swear by Vodafone and O2 and took advantage of their 20% off for years until 2.5 years ago and saw the light and jumped ship to Three.

Their 3G data coverage is so much better as I find myself out in the sticks a lot and where Vodafone/O2 have Edge at best Three have 3G with decent speeds (not the fastest speeds that some of the others have in built up areas, but at least a usable 5+meg).
Dragon32 just depends on where you live to be honest, I managed to get out my 3 contract as they throttled the service during peak times and would not open it until mast had been upgraded. Been with vodafone for the last 4years and to be honest when I need to connect it does. IMHO only time customer services comes into it is when you need to use it fortunately I have yet to experience that. Currently save £13 pm on a Iphone 6 contract with 7GB date ultd mins and text. More than happy with that, no one came anywhere near them.
It is a good deal, however what would be really helpful is if someone could find a list of all qualifying companies because the one on MSE is years out of date. If you don't have a work mobile, ask someone at your workplace who does if its with Vodafone - if it is, you will qualify. I am looking to get the S7 on a 12 month deal which will work out at about £850 with the discount (20GB Data)
Here is the old list :-

It is massively out of date. We could try to compile a new list? Post in the thread if you can confirm companies that are able to get VEA.

unfortunately doesn't work on discounted tariffs as i found out this week, bit gimmicky would look on here for better deals, cold sorry
This deal is available through Blue Light Card Scheme, for anyone who qualifies for that, too.

In reply to some of the comments above, I was with 3 for a decade. The local mast needed upgrading & the service was so poor I had to keep contacting them & complaining. After a short time, they admitted the mast was at fault & couldn't cope with the volume of traffic & gave me a 20% discount for the last 18 months of my old contract. When it came to upgrading, they still hadn't changed the mast but refused to discount the new tarrif, citing that I was already aware of the issue, therefore I would have been paying through the nose for a near-nonexistent service through my working day (bearing in mind I work less than 5 miles from city centre of Manchester!) I now pay Vodafone £38 for the package 3 wanted £49 for & I get 100% coverage. A no-brainer really.

Not had any issues with Vodafone & the one glitch on my bill, they corrected straight away & refunded more than they needed to, as a gesture of goodwill.
Lloyds & rbs
Today I've cancelled my Vodafone contract and was offered a 40% discount and then was offered 3GB instead of 1GB, unlimited texts and 600 mins for the £14 sim only plan = £8.40 per month.
so wot about a contract taken out wiv a dealer/with cashback.? Will they still honor it then? Anyone have any xperience?
