Are they proper vacs at that price or just fancy car vacs?

I want one for the car - nothing else. Have a proper Dyson for the house
But in answer to your question... the fancy car vacs - no wand at that price.

Isit worth paying a little more for brand new?

Isit worth paying a little more for brand new?

In some cases it's a lot more - eg. the V8 Absolute is £350 new (on sale), £250 refurb.

Got the Mattress one for £111 on the previous deal brand new with 2 year warranty from same dyson eBay store. Absolutely recommend the V6 it’s brilliant and worth every penny. (Coming from a skeptic of dyson)

The DC40 from TG Hughes is at £170 new with 5 years warranty which I think is worth paying £45 extra for a new and 3 years extra warranty.

Good prices, but the Dyson Outlet store on eBay is pure lottery.

You may get a brand new item (repacked into a black/brown box), or something well used, scratched and smelling like a wet dog, with a few new accessories, based on experience.

Their quality checks are quite poor, and therefore be prepared to return the item (and waste time). On a positive note, they are responsive, returns are free, and you are basically dealing with Dyson. Handheld devices are easy to fix, as all parts are available and relatively cheap.

I would not recommend the V6, as it has a fundamental flaw that previous models didn't have (I have had many handheld models, like the DC59, V6 and now V8): a lot of dirt gets stuck on the inside mesh and is hard to clean, without removing the bin and brushing it (and spreading all that dust).

Dyson fixed the issue on the V7 and V8 ranges, by changing the bin emptying mechanism (now rubbing against the inside mesh).

I wouldn't buy a V6 again: I would buy a previous model, or a V7 or V8 (V7 seems to be identical to V8, apart from no post motor filter)

A number of these have been posted separately. My choice would be the V8 Absolute.

I was aware of this “issue” when researching it before purchasing and was a little concerned it might actually be a problem but I personally find it very easy to clean, no doubt the V7/8 are easier to maintain but when I clean my vacuum every other time I use it, it’s not a huge deal to clean that as well.

Some Dyson handheld don't have electrical connectors on the main body, so you can attach a wand but wouldn't power any floor brush...

Even if the electrical connectors are present, some brushes just don't work, as Dyson does not want people to "upgrade" their devices.

Therefore, if you need a stick/wand and powered floor brush, my advice would be to get a model that does that.

It's not a huge deal, if you don't mind being exposed to dust, or spill the dust you just vacuumed everywhere. The V6 is just flawed in that respect, and I don't understand why Dyson couldn't at least provide a narrow brush to clean the cylinder, and remove the need to remove the bin.

V8 animal is just amazing, cleaning is so easy now with this. It does an amazing job. It's so powerful on the Max setting that you think it's going to suck all the air out of the room.

looking for a v6 absolute

Ordered the v6 animal from eBay Dyson (refurb)

Used the 10% quidco too That's on For eBay

On another note, popped into JL earlier and they are expecting to sell a few of these

Did you get 2 year warranty?

I'm not sure, it has the form in the box for one but I've just registered it on the website and it states not confirmed under guarantee remaining. It came in a normal dyson box, not repackaged.

Links not working

It's crap anyway

Not worth it then?? Why’s it crap??

Would not recommend even at this price. Doesn't come with the mini motorised tool. Suggest forking out £25 more and getting a refurbished Trigger Pro or £40 more and getting it new.

Yes, the motorised brush tool is great. I have an older version and so if it broke this would be ideal as array have the motorised brush.

Spends more time on charge than usage .

I’m a sucker for a good vacuum deal.....

we got rid of our vacuum, it was just gathering dust!

but then again...I thought nothing sucked like Electrolux, until i installed Virgin Media.

This deal was already posted in a different deal regarding the outlet store

Do these normally have new batteries?

Personally I have another vac for the car as I don't think they're as small and powerful as other vacs. That said, I love it around the house.

I use a Henry for doing the car. Not sure of the specs of each but does feel more powerful. Also, when I need to give the car a good going over the 20 minute run time is not enough.

No vacvuum for car?

That's probably true of most lithium-ion devices. Is it particularly bad?

When is this deal going to end?

Got the v6 animal refurb from eBay at £149 4 days ago

noticed the price is now 139, I emailed them and thr6 have refunded me the difference.

not bad
