At first glance I thought this product would work wonders for my blackheads around my nose. Once used, I realised some blackheads removed, leaving the pore open. I was left with noticeable open pore and slight scratches on certain areas of my face. Perhaps I have extremely sensitive skin, but I swore never to use this product again

Go on.........

Would never use this on my face

The Tesco website seems to suggest that this one isn't in the £2.50 offer, so it seems like a deal to me (if you want this specific Listerine formula).

The numbers are strange because they marked it up by 45% so they could mark it down again.

P20 Sun Screen only £14.99 at Savers

P20 Sun Screen only £14.99 at Savers - over £23 in Boots! The BIG one (200ml)

I think that's what the 'There are lots of different UVA measuring systems around the world' comes in. They use the EU Standard rather than the star system. I must agree it isn't too clear though, until I looked on their site I didn't know that a circle around the UVA meant it met EU recommended level of protection. More information on this page ; We'll be sun screen experts by the time we've done!

If it met any higher, you’d think they’d have it on the product though seeing as that’s what you’re told to look out for when choosing sun protection.

It actually says in the FAQ section of Calyso website regarding UVA ' There are two types of ultraviolet radiation which can harm our skin – UVA and UVB. Only UVB causes burning, but both types damage our skin, so good sunscreens should protect against both. However, SPF only measures UVB protection, so you have to check to make sure your sunscreen offers UVA protection too. There are lots of different UVA measuring systems around the world. We use the European standard – look for the letters UVA inside a circle. This symbol means that a product meets the EU-recommended level of UVA protection.' I take this to mean it meets theEU required level of UVA protection not the minimum. I don't think they'd get away with recommending products for children these days without them being suitable.

Sorry , I did mis-read your comment.

i know how to use it - i was offering a possible reason for burning...

They want that money 💰 If there wasn't much sales it would mean the companies may go bankrupt or leave the UK market, they won't get money from business tax One day Sodas/Pop may cost more than Alcohol, so people will became alcoholics.. I'm talking about the big brand stuff since you can get cheap alcohol for less than a bottle of water

If the government really wanted to drastically reduce the purchases of sugary drink they wouldn't just increase it by a few pence at a time. Gradual increases just mean people absorb the cost and get used to it. A large price hike at once would be the only hope of having the claimed desire of reducing sugar intake but that wouldn't bring in the tax dollars that the government really want. They used the exact same trick on tobacco, petrol/diesel and alcohol.

Its the energy drink prices that are most noticable in Tesco, like £1.07, £1.57 or £4.53 etc just random prices that have increased by certain percentages dependant on their sugar content. I guess unless they're the sugar free versions, all the energy drinks will be hit hard.

Possibly cheap for a 500ml bottle, but not the cheapest way (per 100ml or per litre whichever way you look at it) to buy coke if you’re concerned about getting the most to combat the sugar tax.

I have a shop and although I agree with you that products already in the system were clearly produced before the tax was implemented, the wholesale price to us has already risen inline with the new tax so we have had to increase our price immediately. Most soft drinks have already reformulated to below 5gm per 100ml so this tax will have less effect on prices than you would think. Lucozade, Fanta, oasis, sprite etc. Have reduced sugar content below the tax threshold. Coke, cherry Coke and Pepsi have retained their sugar levels so you will see their price rise, or bottle size shrink. Coke is reducing its large bottles to 1.5litres for example. It's causing problems with sandwich meal deals etc. It is a total pain but it does seem to have had the desired effect in that most drinks have reduced their sugar content

By my Beard shampoo and conditioner. 99p each at Savers in store welwyn
LocalLocalFound 23rd FebFound 23rd Feb
by my beard shampoo 300ml and conditioner 300ml. 99p each in savers store welwyn garden city. amazon want at least £5 for these two.

Got this conditioner and the beard oil from the poundshop before I went to Lanzarote last week. Like the beard oil better but the conditioner is fine too (£2). Back home in the snow now.

I use this brand of beard oil from savers and it keeps my beard and face moisturised great. Not tried the shampoo/conditioner so cannot comment but happy with the oil.

Using regular shampoo on my face dries it out no end but I am now using a dedicated beard wash and it doesn't do the same, so it's not just marketing.

All shampoo has "chemicals" that remove oils, that's the purpose of a shampoo. Surfactants clean your hair - whether it's on your head, your chin or your arse, it's irrelevant. It's marketing. Women have benefited from this kind of mad marketing for years, now with hipster beards, they can target this crap at men too! Also to the person that said they use conditioner on their skin, don't do that. If it actually contains any real conditioning (or detangling) agents, they're really bad to leave on your skin.
