very poor track and cars, took ours back 3 times for exchanges before finally taking a refund.
Been looking for a good deal on Scalextric. Tempted to go for this. Good reviews on Amazon.

What do you expect for £40? It's got 4 track layouts and two basic cars. I've got this set and it's great as a starter set, cars are in once piece as well.

agree some other comments for £40 given cars sold separately probably more than this it's a bargain
I'm tempted to get this given the price and the fact the controllers can be restricted to prevent kids (or "big kids") trashing the cars!

I would have had 10 decent pies and got a bit fatter, at least I'd have had something to show for it.
I've just ordered the BBC Top gear magazine for £29.99 for 13 issues which comes with a free hypercars micro scalextric

great, and now you a magazine you probably honestly don't want and mini scalextric which is nowhere near as good as the proper sized version
The reviews on Amazon are very favourable. Thinking of buying it for my son and putting it away for his next bday (he will be 4 and is car/button pushing mad!). Is this a good price to bite? Do good prices on sets happen often?
Continental eh? So it's like a croissant but faster.
Ordered yesterday and was trying to post this on the train but gave up. Glad another user did.
Been looking for the last few days at Scalextric for xmas, just ordered this one thanks!!
Got this last xmas and its a great little set. Its worth it even as just a add-on for existing sets...loads of track and 2 robust cars
I take it this set isnt digital?
I bought my son micro scalextric & it wasn't the greatest, I take it this is a lot better? Thinking of buying it for Christmas.

Cheers
