I noticed this deal too, wish it could be customised (would like more storage) but great deal none the less. Same with the AMD RX 480 version for same price on same website.

Would be expecting a lot more for this price. Have seen i5 1060's as low as 550.

All components look good thougg and aren't generic.

Agreed. Probably better performing too. Just not a performance gain worth £250.

Crap PSU, SSD too small, locked CPU. On the plus side, you do get W10 & 3 years warranty. Would still prefer to build my own for better performance.

Hmm my build atm is pretty similar but mines about £500, ex gfx.

Differences are b150, 16gb, water cooler AIO in my build..

Dunno if £200-250 labour is a good deal?

Was basing the deal on the fact that it is a prebuilt machine, and that I can't find a cheaper one with a 1060.

No point comparing it to building one yourself as it's always going to be cheaper.

alot of people speaking BS on this thread, PC Partpicker for the exact same components comes to £796
whilst i agree that this is a saving from the £799, but at £3 difference i dont know why some people are quoting labour costs.

Also for those posts stating they can get 1060 GTX deals that are 6gb at £550 please show us the proof please because GTX 1060 6gbs go for around 240 at the cheapest. this is 44% of your 550 already gone! how you can you then get an i5 core at 6500 (or beyond) and all the other components at said price of 550??

finally for those that are interested in this deal, i have had a live chat with Scan and they have made a mistake on the psu, it is 450w NOT 550w. but the pcpartpicker price still stands at £796 for the record im not getting this deal, but just had to correct the BS posts that some people have put on this thread

where have you seen please I'm looking for a good gaming set up

Hmmm. Difficult to please people with pre-builts. Usually quite expensive (especially with Brexit).
Saw this @Dinopc and made me think...

** This is a customisable PC. ** EG
- Change the CPU to a 6600K and you have a pretty much guaranteed 4.3GHz;
- select cheapest case;
- remove OS (cheaper to provide your own)
- remove GPU (if you already have one)
- select 3000mhz memory

You get a very good warranty (guess this is a main reason for buying pre-builts)
Price a shade over £600; sign up to their newsletter to get free P&P.

Thanks for your help.
I have built my own PCs and I dont want the hassle of wrestling with jumpers, drivers and cards any more.
If you set the spec as per the Scan PC (with SSD, Windows 10 etc) this one comes to a lot more money.
