Grade C? Might as well use an old roof tile.

Scan need to revise their delivery charges. They seem to think there's a body of water separating the north of Scotland from the rest of Britain and charge a ridiculous £15.59 extra for folks such as me. Morons. But I haven't voted you cold OP, because I've just been drinking a very fine NORTHERN SCOTTISH beer called Happy Chappy - great choice of name! Pity that some of the Bolton numpties at Scan won't have had the privilege of sharing this delightful privilege, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IN AN IMAGINARY BOUNDARY SEPARATING US FROM THEM. Please bear this in mind when Scan deals appear here and vote them ICY cold. 'Nuff said. *rant over*

Now I'm off to eat the finest venison, langoustines, lobsters, raspberries and other delicacies from this wonderful part of MAINLAND Great Britain. Good luck to Scan staff in Bolton, enjoying all the fine things that town is renowned for... (Tripe?)

Won't be part of Britain soon, wonder if import duty will have to be added too?

They use Citilink, and from what I can remember from my previous job we used to send good all over the country, sending items to the northern parts of Scotland was quite a bit more expensive than the southern scotland...specially the more remote parts of scotland.

I live in a small, coastal plain (i.e., no mountains!), town on the main road between Aberdeen and Inverness that is certainly not 'remote'. What's more, I regularly receive deliveries from Amazon, Play and many other online retailers, sometimes delivered by Citilink (as well as Royal Mail, DPD, Yodel and all the usual suspects). As I said earlier, we have had none of the recent weather problems that the south of England has (incidentally, I was born in the SE and have no axe to grind about other UK regions). Nope, Scan (and one or two other firms) have simply negotiated a cut-price deal and try to justify it by describing the 'Highlands' - presumably anywhere North of Stirling? - as being 'non-mainland'. Cowboy tactics, by a company that could easily use Royal Mail for smaller items such as SSDs, but choose instead to try and rip off customers with ridiculous over-charging. No more to say on the subject...

If you live between Aberdeen and Inverness then Yeah they are robbing you. that area should be part of their daily route, if it was above Inverness then I'd expect the higher rate.

Don't get me started on their lack of use of Royal Mail. You see the £4.95 P+P it puts you off completely, specially when the item in question is small and not bulky. I don't shop with Scan unless I can get the order over £60 to get free P+P for being a AVforum member.

Sorry you guys didn't like the deal. Got mine 3 days ago and it is brilliant, no scratches, not a mark. Packaged like new, battery life as advertised. Cannot fault it, Over £80.00 saving over Currys price. Sorry you were not keen bit I am chuffed to bits.
