You can of course transfer the licence from your older OS over, so say you bought an E-Machines before with XP then if you can get hold of a copy of XP OEM (not the restore disks) you may well be able to use the activation code you have on the sticker on your current machine. Of course, that then precludes you from using it on your old machine too.

anyone any idea what size case this is? im after something that will fit near my lcd...

Still not really legal - oem licences attach to the motherboard IIRC.

if you are a student you can get vista and xp legit for free from MSDN

went to scan today, and was pleaseantly suprised that they have changed the layout of the COLLECTION points, now they have about 7 epople serving customers not 3 as before , which should hopefully get rid of those dreadful queues they had, and when you picked up your gear, they showed a screen showing how long you had to wait, wel done scan for sorting your S**t out. i might buy more stuff from you now cus before you wasted my precious time in those terrible terrible queues.

how does this free delivery to forum members work?

Perhaps if the product worked and was reasonably priced then people wouldn't steal? Can you name any other manufacturer who can charge £100 for a product that doesn't work and is essentially still BETA? Nope, and still people get on their moral horses, if you believe in supporting a company that thinks it's perfectly fine to release a product that isn't finished and still has severe issues then carry on. I still use my full price win XP, mainly as I created a dual boot pc, one partition XP and one Vista. Made a divx of the same file on both OS's, why is it that Vista takes an extra 18 mins on the same machine using the same software? MS = bloatware, a shabby, over-priced product, and because of their market share, believe they can churn out sub-standard rubbish. Hardly surprising people steal isn't it?

you make a very good point. I've lost count on how much money i've gave microsoft over the years for windows, easily into the thousands. It certainly isn't good value for money. Anyone remember windows ME? God help anyone who paid their hard earned money for that!

the__mayster;3829168

How?

For me:

msdn63.e-academy.com/elm…730

Then your given your own username and password most likely to your university account then you download the image and get the serial as part of it

Why has this been EXPIRED already?
