These are regularly £200+ seems a deal for such a solid and well regarded pair of 3-4 season c1 crampon compatible boot.

If you do buy, may I recommend using scarpa's own hs12 cream from day 1

Those boots cost more than all the boots/shoes I have bought in the past 6 years put together. Gosh I am soooooooo.... cheap! oO

They'l last longer than all those boots/shoes too, which were of course waterproof, 3-4 season and crampon compatible. If you don't even understand the purpose of the item, why vote, or better yet, why comment?

Do yourself a favour and buy some Altberg boots instead you won't be disappointed

These boots look well constructed. Most boots have lots of stitching (made up from lots of little panels of meteral)lwhich can become weak points and leak.As with most things quality costs.

Quality boots.

I've had scarpa boots for 5 years! Still like new, but well worn

Not sure why this is cold. I've not seen them cheaper elsewhere. Scarpa make great boots.
BTW Scarpa sent me some Contour HS12 cream rather than their own brand. Is it the same stuff just re-badged?

Never heard of contour hs12, but if scarpa sent it and it is hs12 cream then I would have no worries about using it

Thanks to dazzer1975.

Thanks to your post I got Go Outdoors to beat the Field and Trek price by 10% getting me a new pair of boots for £161. (they'll only price match on items in stock and in your size/colour)
