is this for freeview TV?

if it is then I don't really understand how this is any different to a freeview box except that it's hidden behind the TV.

Yes Mark, tis freeview and the difference is size. It's not bigger than a scart lead's socket, thus saving space. Plus looking at specs, it has the 7 day epg which many boxes didn't/don't have. As mentioned the record one, watch another channel is nice.

It looks great where space is a premium, i like it but don't watch enough tv to need one lol

How does the record one channel watch another one work? Does it have another SCART socket to connect your VCR?

Anyway cheers for the deal, same price as my chunky freeview box but much tidier.

Rep given ;-)

That's the idea i think....if you are short of space or want to be neat and tidy.
Also as it says,it has a unique loop through facility which lets you record one channel while viewing another.:)

Looking above at the specs (already listed:thumbsup:) it:

Includes 20cm SCART extension lead

Which i would guess then connects to your vcr

Currys also sell a Bush one for £49.99.

Dinky little thing!

Edit: I am sure this was £39.99 at Currys, anyway edited price.

How do you turn over then ?

Surely the infrared beam cant see behind your tele ??

ChrisUK follow the link originally supplied; there you'll see what looks like a TV mounted infra-red receiver

Look at the photo with the deal - there appears to be a remote receiver on a cable which you plug into the box and then plonk on top of your TV.

They have the Bush one on Ebay and they sell for about £20

does it require any specific type of aerial connected to it?

And can anyone comment on the clarity/strength of broadcast?

I suspect the 'loop through facility' is simply the RF in and out sockets you can see in the picture, much like on the back of a vcr or dvd recorder - you would be able to watch freeview and record another channel but your recording device would need it's own tv receiver, be it analogue or digital

That sounds like loop through to me. Not very exciting, don't the normal cheapo boxes do that?

bazr you sound so excited by it like it's dual tuners (watch and record off more than one freeview channel at same time) or something, but it's just watch non-freeview while recording freeview.

what do you expect in something so small

looks good wish i had of got this instead of my cheapo asda box
