Scented candles at Poundland, only £1 for 3 votives. I love scented candles and have tried all sorts from cheapest to really expensive and to my mind these are as good as some of the ones you would pay up to £20 for. Smell strong but not overpowering and lingers for ages. Really impressed with these.

Have to agree...Seen my mum splurge £95.00 on a Jo Malone candle oot shopping once in Glasgow...do out side the shop a held a rough sleeper £30.00 and she said(as I suspected) "Jeezoh you must have plenty money to burn Son"...!!! Indeed I don't mother but you quite literally do.
What do the candles look like please? as they have a few in my store. Thanks.
Heat added by the way
these candles are in Pounland since forever
Cheap Chinese rubbish that will go up in flames!
The IBA candles are supposedly good (haven't tried them but have tried the reed diffusers). The Coley & Gill brand is Poundland-owned, so I wouldn't expect too much. I will say that their (Coley & Gill, unscented) tea lights burn for an impressively long time, for being so cheap!

I didn't expect much at all, but thought for a pound they could be rubbish and I wouldn't care. I've had cheap scented candles before that smell of nothing, dont burn, or burn wildly out of control!! As it happened, I was very pleasantly surprised, which is why I posted the deal. They also burned evenly, and as someone previously posted, for a fairly long time. I suppose I should put a little disclaimer here that as they are only cheapo, and I have only tried the one 3 pack of votives, there may be a lack of consistency, but for a quid they've got to be worth a bash...

I would go for the IBA ones if you see them instore (they disappear quickly). Seen great reviews for those. Only ever tried the Coley & Gill unscented tea lights.

(Not my picture but it shows the different varieties available) http://www.kershawgardencentre.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/48-iba-candles-at-Kerhsaws-Garden-Centre.jpg
