Cheap night in with the missus sorted.

Hmmm, I wonder how much they are paying the people that make these clothes...

More than what they'd be getting without that job so they are probably extremely grateful.

School uniforms? Loughboroughguy will be in there like a rat up a drain pipe

No less than those who produce designer clothing.

Even 1p is too much for a school uniform.

Might not be paying them anything other than a nominal amount to get round the obvious definition of slave labour. News is starting to leak out about Chinese prison camp sweatshops.

i dont care how theyre made, or who theyre made by, as long as theyre cheap for me, its a dog eat dog world

Good stuff for parents on a budget everywhere!

ALL school uniforms should be enforced, and FREE or at this price, good quality, subsidised by Government, and employing less middle class politically correct parasites in jobs like "Childrens Czar" would PAY for it - a sore point with me this. The easing of school uniforms rules and the increase in price has coincided with extreme behaviour in schools over past 40 years. Thats a fact, Jack - and the pointlessness of spending tens of millions on people like that turd mentioned and his umpteen assistants, is an example of where this country has gone.
Sorry - rant over. But it IS a sore point. Kids don't get good school meals due to Tory greed and politically correct vegie-nazi interference being another contributor

Say what?

Got zero chance in my Aldi which is 30 seconds walk from my house, they will all go especially the 5-6, 6-7 yrs!

our aldi is next to the towns school uniform shop. I wonder if the will pop in to stock up.....

Great price!

I'm not a parent, but I can't understand why, if you can afford it, you'd only want to spend this amount on clothing that your child is going to wear 5 days a week? If it were me, I'm sure I'd want my kids to look their best...

do you not know how dirty children get? school tops/trousers get ruined very quick with stains and holes, better to buy 16 polo shirts for a tenner and bin them after they little gits ruin them

Umm, children get great school dinners these days, certainly ten times better than I did in the 80s as a child

They get healthly good size meals, varied every single day with multiple choices of what they can choose

Theres too much grovelling to food-nazis for a start. Why do you think theres so many kids bring packed lunches for God's sake ?
FAR more than did during my time (before the Tories closed down the traditional school dinner centres who supplied several schools, and give out contracts for lowest quality ingredients to their mates for a little "something" back - which is their way of course)
But trying to force kids into "healthy diets" which are appetizing as eating a newspaper (without salt of course) is what is happening - maybe not as bad as 10 years ago, but.....added to which, one school differs wildly to the next.

Aldi is based in Atherstone in Warwickshire, they donate their left over schol uniform stock to the local Acorns hospice charity shop in the town which currently have a load of red schol jumpers in & yes, in 5-6 & 6-7 yrs. They will be expecting a new delivery from Aldi shortly I would think once they have finished their reductions to try & sell off some stick instore first.

dunno what assbackwards part of the country you live in, but here in suffolk the school dinners are great

different menu each week, 2 options every day of the week, even using local farms meats and produce

"At least 75% of the dishes on our menu are freshly prepared in our kitchens.
All the meat we use is farm assured as a welfare minimum.
The eggs we use are from cage-free hens (in fact ours are local & free range too).
Our staff are supported with professional development including training in fresh food preparation.
Food on the menu does not contain any hydrogenated fats or undesirable additives."

the main reason kids want packed lunches is that they get to sit outside in the summer and eat

Right - works for your school so everywhere else is the same, right ?
"Ass backwards" ????? Do you also say "My bad" and "Guys" often ? X)

As for kids bringing their own, you clearly haven't noticed, but we DON'T get summer year round

I had to wear a second hand blazer it scared me for life , but it cost more than aldis new school cloths . thank you aldi your shop is too small now for the amount of bargin hunting punters entering your doors. more small cute and quirky branches not bigger mindless stores

thank you so much for the post. have just been and finished off my school uniform shopping and got some bits for my friends who are on holidays all for a fab price. Was a lot more manic than I expected but worth it:)

got my daughters all done this morning for under £20 quality is good too

Was this a one day offer?

cheap alright - but i wonder how long the products will last after a couple of washes?
