ALDI uniforms? Do you really want your kids to get bullied?

Its better than sending your kids without a uniform, some people cant afford £10+ for 1 school jumper. The jumpers dont have "ALDI" plastered all over then you know! They are basic school jumpers.

Most of those families on low income have no problem with buying three packs of cigarettes every day. Just sayin'

Good price, but the problem nowadays is most school jumpers, cardigans and polo shirts will have the school crest on, and you will find they will not supply iron on ones. Therefore you are stuck with polo shirts from the official school supplier that will probably cost you a tenner each....

The school sweatshirts have to have logos on your right, the rest of the school uniform for infant / juniors in my area can be without logos. the sweatshirts etc don't just have to be worn for school make for good cheap playing out clothes
No rules like that at my school (Scotland) you just need roughly the right colour jumper/hoodie. Last year H&M had kids hoodies buy one get one free that were the right light blue for my school.

They do sell stuff with their crest but most people only buy one, and that's for the school photos.

Don't forget the School uniform grant scheme.

Also in Scotland- my daughters school (Primary) does not allow hoodies as jumpers. We have the option of plain or logo knitted cardigan or jumper. Shirt and tie only. No sweatshirt or polos in official uniform but some kids do wear them and nothing is said. We did have logo polos and sweatshirts years ago but it changed to shirt and tie. Hoodies are 100% banned and are classed as outerwear so get left in cloakroom. We are also supposed to buy official logo PE kit but I just buy a plain t shirt in the right colour and print the school logo on iron on transfer paper. The official tops are made of a football top type fabric which breaks my daughters skin out in an ugly heat rash so I stick with cotton t-shirts. Lots of people just send in plain t shirts in the right colour. It’s a strange yellow shade that’s a nightmare to find and I’m sure it was done on purpose to make us buy the rubbish logo top.
Problem is it’s all out of stock online.
They were already in my local Aldi when I went this evening (Wednesday). Bought everything I needed...
Good luck finding stock they sell out within 30mins of the store opening at my local
Good Price @Mysticaltopaz24 Thanks for posting

And still people will say they can’t afford school uniform for their kids!!!

Granted, some families have their priorities wrong and would rather spend their money on cigarettes/alcohol etc but some low income families work full time and still find themselves on the breadline. Maybe buying Aldi school uniform is their only way of affording a uniform for their children. Who's going to be more of a target..... a child with uniform on or a child without any uniform? Just sayin'
Thanks for posting @Mysticaltopaz24 we have added your thread to the Highlights section

You probably have not realised the other side of your comment which could be interpreted as 'kids with fancy uniforms are allowed to bully those with aldi uniforms'. At least it seems that it is acceptable to you.
All those kids need to be taught about accepting everyone equally (very idea behind having uniform) and the very thought of bullying must never cross their minds......just saying
That’s crawl. Who would get uniform from Aldi? You must be pretty nasty to do that. Let’s just leave aldi out of school clothes and only food

says it all
Some of the comments are awful
A cotton tshirt is a cotton tshirt wherever its from
People with that brand watching attitude always seem to be people with less money
As a parent of boys that are into there football a toddler that likes painting
Kids are kids at the end of the day let them enjoy it
Id rather my kids have experiences its worries me if they are raised to focus on what someone else is wearing thats not how things work out here
I can say these cheap uniforms are great quality is the same as other places they also have the adjustable buttons inside the trousers
Only difference is it says lilly and dan on the label and if that bothers you so much cut it off
Although people shouldnt be looking in there clothes
Jumpers are a different story i know my kids are £15 each

I know one family on low income nearby - after losing kids to social care few years ago due to drug abuse they still live in a 3bd council house I pay for with my taxes.
I think it's great that they can offer uniforms at this price. To be honest there are so many families that don't have the money to buy new uniforms, does it really matter where they come from? Plus if they are good quality, families that could spend more don't have to and could spend more elsewhere on their children.
As long as the kids are happy, healthy, and loved, who cares. It's like people that have to buy the latest air max trainers and phones because if they don't their kids will get bullied. No, just teach your children to respect others no matter what they have or don't. So much negativity in the world for goodness sake!
