Well the top photo is of the fake, the bottom photo is of the original so I'm confused which one is being sold.

ok, wel let me clear it up for you lol, they are exactly the same, i seriously doubt powerball could get a patent for it as it is simply a gyroscope in a casing, hence why there are immediate copies floating around, bargain if you need one, it has totally improved my grip strength for deadlifts in the gym.

Its not as balanced as the powerball, at higher speeds theres more vibration in the Science museum, not that it will get to the dizzy hights of the powerball.

I reserved at my local store and within an hour i had a phone call to say they don't have them!! i checked on line again and their store was still saying they had them?!:x Have just reserved again and I suppose wait for the phone call tomorrow to say they don't!

Hot have reserved one to collect tomorrow:)
Have some rep:)

Just reserved a couple at Currys in Hartlepool. These are the genuine article from the Science Museum collection. For ages 10+. Should still give your wrists a good work out! It's what your right hand's for. LOL :-)

Thanks, reserved one. There's always the smart asses with something to whinge/gripe about.

No stock anywhere locally. I fear for dsg....

i would get the original powerballs. Atleast they come with a lifetime warranty

Same price at Argos?

Beware! At the bottom of the linked page (to Currys) it says that the "essential accessories" you should order with the Gyroscopic Strength Ball are AA and AAA batteries. I admit that I have a Powerball (super cheap - at the time - from Play.com) not one of these, but I seriously doubt that you would find a use for the batteries whilst spinning the ball.:o

I have muscle wastage (thanks to RSI, ULD and arthritis) and I find a minute or two of spinning the ball every day helps me. But mine has got neon lights in it, which light up bright the faster you spin it. I think it's fun but it bugs the hell out of the cat!

Also, I've got hands the size of dinner plates but find it is not easy to grab hold of these balls. Can a 10 year old really keep hold of one of these things?:?:

If your referring to me I speak from experience as I have had both.:x
I was only giving an opinion to someone futher up the board who asked if these were as good as the powerball to which the answer is NO.

I've used both, these are a cheap, badly made copy of the powerball. The shape and plastic seams make it uncomfortable to hold, and once up to around 8000rpm the vibration created by the off balance gyro actually hurts. My proper powerball provides a challenge, this one is just annoying.

Its £5 you could put towards the real thing

Same just happened to me

This isn't as good as the Powerball, I would strongly advise spending the extra money on that instead if you really want one of these.
