I would not recommend this for GCSE and especially alevel. Casio has a strangle hold on schools and students will be taught to use casio calculators in class
I'm a maths teacher, this might seem like decent value but if you want to give your kids the best chance then for the sake of a few quid, I wouldn't mess around, just buy a Casio one. Sometimes they're on offer in Asda and Tesco for about a fiver but if you have to spend £10 on it then that's what you need to get.

This probably is made by Casio.

The no way a 'proper' Casio is worth £10, the technology is about 30 years old.

It might even be made by Casio, but it isn't a 'Casio'. £10 is naff all if your kids get the grade they need on their GCSE or A Level. This isn't the kind of thing you should be penny pinching on.
Load of rubbish, the calculator is effectively the same as a casio, the functions work in exactly the same way. Any decent teacher will always ensure that all students understand how to use their calculator be it Casio, Canon, Sharp or even Tesco.

I have bought 14 of these calculators from Tesco in Gainsborough for £1.50 each and will give them to our GCSE students who forget or don't have their own calculator for the exams.
