Just scotch bonnets, dried chilli pods, vinegar, salt and water. If you want the sauce to last a while in the cupboard make sure the acidity of the sauce is about 2%.

Tried this before and ended up spending about £7 on ingredients to make about 100ml of mediocre hot liquid.
You know when they set fire to the Olympic rings?.........just saying.

It costs me about £7/litre to make ghost pepper sauce. I buy my scotch bonnets in a 5 kilo box and I use organic apple cider vinegar 5% acidity and pink Himalayan salt. It is better than anything I have ever bought. I can go as hot as I like. Other sauces I do include Trinidad scorpion, chipotle, habanero and naga pickle sauce.
