Offer details
Available for travel on Saturdays and Sundays for journeys within Scotland. Adults pay appropriate Saver, SuperSaver, Cheap Day Return and Standard Day Return fare and the accompanying child/children travel free. The minimum group size is 1 adult with 1 child and the maximum group is 2 adults and 4 children.

Key conditions
Family Fundays tickets are not valid for travel on some GNER/Virgin train services.
A minimum of one adult and one child must travel to qualify, with a maximum of 2 adults and 4 children allowed.

Tickets are valid on Saturdays and Sundays on date of issueonly, for travel in Standard Class accommodation.

There is no Weekend First Upgrade available.
No further discounts are allowed with Railcard, Local Authority concession cardsor any other promotional offers, special excursion or charter trains.

[SIZE=2]Not used this myself. Seems ideal if you have kids over 5. Appears cannot use family railcard with the offer, so you would have to work out which is best deal for you.[/SIZE]

grt deal used this at w/end cheap train and free child in to science centre. grt day out for tenner

Virgin operate many services in Scotland, alot start at Glasgow central or edinburgh and call at places like motherwell and haymarket. They also operate services that start in england and terminate at aberdeen and dundee ;-)

if you pick up a kids go free leaflet from stations it tells you many deals that are available like free child at science centre half price entry to hampden museum etc
