No. The motor only assists so without the pedals your going no where.

That's bosch 3rd gen motors for you. They use an internal 1:2.5 gear so one turn of the cranks turns the chain ring 2.5 times. It adds some drag when the motor isn't powered so the 4th gen switched back to full size chainrings.

Where the small chainring looks fantastic is on an IGH bike since front and rear can be exactly the same size cog.
Backslider will be along soon claiming it is illegal!

Surely this can't handle off road biking can it? It's going to crash and burn pretty quick should imagine.

Ordered the e20 and have to say the bike itself is amazing and I’m happy with it, however cycle republic is one of the worst retailers I’ve ever dealt with and will reserve the right never to have any service work undertaken by them regardless of warranty implications.
