Usually you just take off 6" off from whatever size you order
38 would be 32" waist
40 would be 34" waist etc etc

Good deal

I would wait and see if a discount code comes up over the next few days. Earlier in Jan it was 50% cashback and recently it was 20% off.

Yes, but doesn't always scale well - with 52" chest and 40" waist I need to mix and match otherwise I have pants that fall down, or a jacket that won't even go over my shoulders !!

Otherwise, good price.

So, to get a suit that fits well (which is generally a good idea), I'd need to order a 44 for the jacket and a 42 for the trousers?
Or eat more pies...

Voted hot but...

How can anyone buy a suit without trying it on? Obviously you can buy & return it but that's just hassle! I've seen people splash hundreds on ill-fitting designer suits just for the name brand and at the end of the day it just reflects badly on them. I'm sure everyone would agree a good fitting suit is better than an ill fitting designer one!

worth a punt for a wool blend tho mate come on

Great deal, Used my #25.80 cash back voucher i got with CD discount when i ordered a Acer Aspire One laptop just before xmas. So got a suit for just over 25 quid Bargain:-D

OK hopefully someone here can help. I wear 36" waist, and usually while wearing sweatshirts (I don't really wear jackets) L size fits me fine. Therefore if I purchase size 42-regular, will that do me?

Also, what is their returns policy like?

Rep for all help.

Zak.

Wonder if its dry clean only?!?!

If it doesn't fit then it would be all over you like a cheap suit (sorry )

Zak, suits are difficult to bracket in terms of S, M, L. You would need to check the return policy. Burton do free returns, when I bought a suit, so I ended up getting the right jacket after 2 attempts. Measure your chest (normally level with the breastbone) for the size, then it is a gamble with the arms - either short, regular or long.

Distance Selling Regulations give you 7 days after delivery to send back by law anyway.

42 regular should be 36 waist if it's a standard suit.

what about quality????

what about quality????

its not 100% polyester, wool blend so better than most cheap suits.

wear it for scruffy work jobs

Quality should be half decent if it is a wool blend. Regarding size, I am almost always a good to excellent fit in a 42 regular. I definitely have a 36" waist and I normally wear large tshirts / sweatshirts, though I can fit reasonably comfortably in most mediums they tend to be a little tight.

I actually think standard suit sizes seem to be fitted to the slightly rounder gentleman, maybe because those of us who wear a suit are often sat on our bums. If you are tall and thin a regular suit will be no use whatsoever.

Regular is the length of the jacket.

S, R and L in jackets are the length. Nothing to do with roundness of the person!

I hate how suits are sized! I could never buy a suit like this as I am 40/42" chest, yet 32" waist - stop discriminating against thin people!!! Anyways, I emailed them, and this is the reply I got:

got mine, great fit.

very very happy with purchase

ordered

I've just had my black pin stripe Scott suit delivered but they've actually sent me out the black Gibson Carnaby one in the exact same size. It clearly states that I should've got the Scott one on the enclosed paper work.

I'm not disappointed though. The Gibson one is twice the price, feels very good quality, fits nicely and is in plain black which I prefer to pin stripe. So thumbs up to Cdiscount's incompetency!

The only thing that I feel quite annoyed about is HDN leaving it on my doorstep all day without a card through the door or a signature. If you want to contact HDN the only way is to send them letter.

OOS unfortunately
