    my brother has the 2020 version & it's a great bike, gears work as good as my Trek DS4

    I have Turney on one or my bikes and I am surprised by how reliable and functional it is. Never needs any adjustment and just works. Sure it heavy but you can abuse it and not worry about it too much. It's perfect for a computer or a bike that spends time parked outdoors.

    Nice find for c.£450- but for sure wasn't worth the original £650 price tag with Tourney

    Yeah. I'm actually getting it at £300 through a cycle to work scheme, so turns out v. cheap indeed.

    In truth, I was after a Kona Dew or Marin Kentfield - however it's end of the season and a lot of models are sold out, especially in XL which is what I need. There were only a handfull of decent bikes <£500 to choose from.

    actually the gears aren't bad at all. 24 speed. I got a specialized sirrus 2022 1.0 and its only got 14 gears with 2 rings on the front. I'm used to 8 on the back and the move to 7 isn't great.

    tbh I actually prefer less gears to more, I end up using the same handful every time.

    why whats better about it? personally I don't want front suspension as I don't go off-road.

    Been using this bike for daily commute for last year.
    Its held up, just about.
    Gears are ropey, but good enough, need adjusting every few weeks (of daily use).
    Rear hub has failed and needs replacing, but its done over 2000 miles so not too bad.
