Not for everyone, but with the new tax year starting, TCB are doing a good offer on ISAs.

Invest £1000 and keep the account open for at least 30 days and get £215 in cashback.

It's a 24-hour deal so get it quick.

NB- It is a stocks and shares ISA so the value may go down.

It says that I need premiums invested to reach at least £200. Could I meet this requirement by setting up a payment of £1000/month, letting the first month's payment go in, and then reducing this to £20/month or something before the second month's payment?

Thanks for posting - could be a decent deal if cashback comes through OK!

Yes, a similar thing happened last year with Shepherds Friendly. As long as you meet the criteria then there's no reason for them not to pay out.

I'm going to make two payments, just to make sure you get the cashback.

Be aware this is a 10 yr isa commitment
Also, once closed. You cannot open another isa that year etc

So could you open this, put in £1000, close it and get the cashback?

I believe there's an exit fee

i think is 1200 not 200, going by the details of next lower category.

i.e. you need to pay at least 2x1000 premium.

NB - you have to have the £1,000 for MORE THAN 30 days, not at least 30 days as claimed by OP. That means you have to invest £2,000 - but still a tempting deal with a well known provider. Hot.

not really much of a deal

i cannot see anywhere that you invest a £1000 on the first transaction then payments later from 5 to 10 yrs investment.
it is also a stock and shares ISA so you could actually get less out than you put in to it.
the only offer i can see on scottish friendly website is invest from as little as £10 a month up to £50 a month.
have topcashback got it wrong on this part.

Monthly premium of £1000 and above
Invest from just £1000 a month in an Investment ISA with Scottish Friendly. Capital at risk. Get cashback once premiums invested in your plan reach £200 and your ISA has been set up for more than 30 days.
is it supposed to read from £10 a month and not £1000

So confused, what if I have a h2b isa will that affect me opening it? What do I do again?... if it's to good to be true it probably is, maybe I'll skip this though it looks a fantastic deal

It's good but you have to remember you're investing in stocks and shares. If the fund you're investing in goes down you could be out of pocket. If you're looking to invest long term, it could be ok. There are no certainties.

to get the £215 cash back you have to invest a £1000 per month

Can you transfer out the isa after 30 days and still qualify?

Do not touch this deal, got involved with them a couple of years ago via this site, monthly fees eroded investment each month and when I finally got fed up and closed this losing account, got stung for £50 exit fee, the £94 tcb was eroded after a long and frustrating 18 months.Would not go near this "friendly " society..

I looked in to this when TCB was high a few months ago. Happy to be proven wrong though doesn't look like a great deal.

I used Scottish Friendly and opened an account for my son a few years ago, after waiting about a year the cash back was declined and the monthly management fees bit into the cash I put in the account. I personally wouldn't go with them for anything again
