yeh, may be but there is no risk if you want to switch!

I've just switched to a fixed price tariff with Npower until January 2014. It was the cheapest through price comparison and all the others were showing more expensive. Cashback isn't guaranteed

hi, what is it called and are you tied in?
thanks

Not sure what it's called. It comes up on the switch website when you compare and yes you are tied in and will have to pay a fee if £30 I think if you leave early

Great deal. Heat added and hopefully money will be saved (£295 a year).

I changed over to SP last weekend via TCB and £55.55 tracked the following day. Fab!

great deal, heat added.

Oh good, yet another (insert insult here) who can't tell the difference between lose and loose.

It really isn't difficult.

New customers only according to Quidco when I went for the Jan 14 fix. Tracked but we will see. Was told 4 weeks to go through but had a note last week 9after 2 weeks saying it will be 6 weeks from the date of the letter??? As said can always switch back if other prices come down.

I switched a week a go as it said on their website I would be saving but they did state the actual price kwh. I got a shock when the paperwork came in. The gas was cheaper but the electricity was double what I am currently paying EDF.

Aren't Scottish Power expensive?

Unfortunately I switched before the quidco increased to £55, only £13 difference but I hate it when that happens

There were a couple of cheaper tariffs for my usage, but not by much. And none that were fixed let alone fixed + no cancelation charge.

I switched to E on as they were paying £120 cashback last week. I only keep them fit a few month then change to another one and get paid via Quidco again. With all the cashback I get it works out I don't pay anything for my gas or electric at all.

Voted cold. Scottish Power are more expensive across the board, have terrible customer service and are ridiculously pushy if you try to change tariff or leave them.

Anyone know if EDF are doing any new deals ? if not i think i'll move before going on to standard rate !

I switched to SP abt 5months ago. (Fixed till July 2013 tariff) Quidco tracked and got paid within few months.

Too right. Now I'm just off to watch that great 80's movie 'Footlose'...

I am already on a fixed price with S Power for the last few years, can if fix with them again on the tariff I have been on?

Don't bank on it. SSE have already announced they are to increase their prices by around 9% and when one of the big companies move they all do.

The tariff you are on will have an end date, after this date you will go on to their standard tariff.

Your only option is to pay the standard tariff or move to a new one.

Yes, 28% more than I currently pay for electric and 38% more for gas. People must be mad to vote this deal hot!

How come? Nearly all providers have a years minimum term and a switch takes 2-3 months anyway. Unless you use £20 per month electric/gas then you are making things up as the most cashback you could get in a year is about £250

EON arent even on quidco!

Who do you use?

My eleccy and gas is currently £160 pm with Scottish power.

Not a bad deal for a 'fixed for 2 winters' deal.

But £30 more than my EDF fixed deal, also fixed for 2 winters, no penalties if I switch.

Whatever, go through Quidco etc or this link moneysavingexpert.com/uti…ity

Not a hot deal only in that it raises awareness of using quidco and fixing not forced to the best tariff for people

Mine is under 80 for both and I have a 3 bed house, its been fixed for about 3 years, I think I extended it. Its due to run out in December, would I be better off cancelling and 're fix it now?

Mine had been fixed and was £120pm.... It went up in June and I just have been too lazy to swap so I'm probably paying £40pm more than I need to be! They have offered me a couple of quotes but figure I'd be better off switching and grabbing £80 (or whatever) topcashback into the bargain.
