This or Tefal?

Definitely Tefal. Scoville are amazing to start with but the quality is poor and they lose their non stick after about 12 months. The 15 year guarantee is worth naff all - they automatically blame you for heating the pan up too much?!?!?

This or Tefal?

I have the 5 piece set of Scoville milk pan / saucepans with glass lids and 2 different size frying pans, I bought the wok to add to my other purchases. I use the pans daily and have had those 3 years without issue and minimal clean to , fry with / without oil. I don't use a dishwasher and they are still as good as new.

I would say that the current batch are possibly about 25% lighter than the originals. My originals the non stick wore off one pan, but I couldn't find the receipt so I bougt a second lot, cos they are still value for money and found them to be lighter. I personally preferred a bit more weight in them.

Tefal. We got a full set of Scoville pans and ended up replacing them after about a year. Shoddy construction. Never had any issues with out Tefal set.

100% agree with you,
I was a convert to the point where I was buying them to give away as gifts.
The non stick is brilliant but wear out in months.
The 15 year guarantee is false advertisement.
I really do not know what some people are doing to these pans. I've had a number for years, they come up good as new with a quick, gentle wash with soap and water, nothing ever sticks, they're used at high and low heat and they are as good as the day they were bought. I've had the grill pan for three years. It's used every week. I've had a wok for 18 months, used a couple of times a week at extremely high heat. Best pans I've ever had, and I've had some expensive non-stick before which were pretty good pans (my wife would wash them so they were eventually knackered).

I've had mine for over a year now, I have the casserole pan and the frying pan, I use the casserole one for my currys all the time, brilliant. I even got one for my sister because they're really good value for money. My large frying pan I use for frying round kebabs in a tiny bit of oil and it's great, completely non stick
These are great, just make sure you allow them to cool down, don't just chuck it under the tap

Don't bother. The non stick wears out very quickly. Got three but won't be buying any more.
Got one and I'm stuck with it!
Quality pans, been using mine for 2 years and they are like they were on day 1. I use a sponge when washing them and don't scrub.
Try Masterclass from Amazon, very good quality and cheap

I swear by mine, I added the wok and a few other items to my original 5 piece set.I invert the glass lids and stack the next pan on top then the edges are protected once stacked

For me these have the edge over Tefal as apart from one that lost the non stick around the top of the pan the handles are fixed a lot better than the Tefal ones, which over time become loose as they break down and crumble. Scovilles are riveted in place rather than screwed in. Even Tefal pans lose their non-stick over time.
