Probably because of all the fuss with Hasbro and Scrabulous, lately. It's not done them any favours at all.
This is a decent price, but I'm going to pass on voting for the above reason.
Repped instead =)

I think it was earlier as there was another post which is expired now

Great game well worth a tenner voted hot

We have Scrabble on the Gameboy, which I presume is the same. If so, it's quite a good game, though it's more like Boggle as you find words in the screen as opposed to placing words.

That's a shame, was £9.99 (free delivery) on Play.com when I bought it earlier today. Voted hot, should be a challenging game!

thanks - took the opportunity to order scrabble for the DS and Guitar Hero for the Wii. I knew i shouldn't have popped onto Hot uk deals for 5 mins - it always costs me a fortune!
Rep heated up a little

What's the crack here?

It's £19.99 on Amazon!

I posted the £9.99 deal from Play, but it didnt last long before Play jacked the price upto £34.99!!
Looks like Amazon are doing the same here, as its now £19.99.
These deals dont seem to last long.

Most of these companies have software which will flag up when an item is being ordered a lot. They then put the price up - assuming, I guess, that they think they have 'underpriced' it and you will buy at the higher price. Amazon do this loads - Dr Who figures and Birkenstock sandals spring to mind.

Sometimes it is a genuine misprice, but usually it's just an attempt to make more money because they think the demand for the product is there and you will pay more. Amazon also send emails saying the product is out of stock, do you want to cancel? They did this with a friends £13 Birkenstocks - she didn't cancel and after a few weeks they turned up.

It's cheeky, but I suppose it's better than WH Smith who advertise cheap stuff and then just cancel all the orders and say out of stock. The thing is not to buy at the higher price - another deal will always be along.

Thats business I guess, and the bargin prices get people browsing their stores.
Quite a jump in price tho, Play went from £9.99 to £34.99 & Amazon £9.99 to £19.99 ;-)
Just goes to show the markup on these games.
