Hi all

just came across this while responding to another scrabble deal comment.

Just to let you all know, the RRP is fair, but the OH and I paid £70 last year at Xmas.

I think this is a great set, especially if you enjoy playing scrabble frequently.

You get wooden tiles, a wooden game board (although the playing area is plastic) with metal strips that hold the tiles in place and a revolving board. Also included are: a timer and velvet-esque bag for your tiles, a anotepad to let you keep score (and how the words were laid out) and a scrabble pencil. That,s right... A PENCIL with scrabble written on it!

I do believe they were going to discontinue this version, but evidently not yet.

I know the other deals are far cheaper, but as special gift to either yourself or family and friends, I think this is remarkably good value for money.

I also paid £30 for Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
For me, this is far better value in terms of how much it gets used!

Different strokes for different folks, I'm just at that point in my life where paying for nice things that I'll enjoy frequently is more preferable than spending £50-odd on drinks (for example!) On a night out.

I know it wont be for everyone but it is a saving of 20% on the price I paid last year.
***by my calculations at least!!

£70 lol, you may as well play monopoly with real cash

I'm going to judge on the deal, it is a significant saving. Obviously not for me but if you are looking for an upmarket scrabble board this'd be good :P

Could cold voters explain to others why? As far as i know, it can't be got cheaper.

Thank you! :-)

And thanks to others who are voting hot.

Have some heat to warm up haha

Some people will buy a farrari others a skoda, If you have the money then why not buy the finest version lol

Nice. It's up to individuals as to how they spend their money! Some spend hundreds on a bottle of wine whilst others prefer to be more wiser with theirs! :-)

Or £54.94 + free P&P if you really wanted it cheaper
