OK, they're white, but they do the job and the cheapest I could find. Grabbed a couple for the hot summer months ahead.

I've had a few fans over the years and I wouldn't buy another one with a cross shaped base because the feet always come off (as the reviews of this one mention) and then the stand goes all wobbly. This one is cheap but personally I would look around for one with a round base, they're only a few pounds more and they'll last longer.

That's spoiled summer then!

Absolutely spot on with the bases - I ended up taking the base off and cable tying the remainder to my daughters bunk bed

Had similar cross based one for about 5 years now . Not tipped up yet .These will be out of stock very quick if we do in fact get a heat wave
Summer is coming, this is what I need! Thanks!
It is a cheap and plastic light weight fan but it does the job for summer, you can however get this model here but its 35 quid:

http://www.screwfix.com/p/fs40-11nr-16-stand-fan-220-240v/7868k

its miles more sturdy and solid plastic, has remote and timer control. Only bad thing is the stand weight is quite heavy, women and pensioners will struggle to lift it but you can easily dissemble the stand fan (2-3 minutes) and carry separately to another room if need be its just another chore, but worth it if you want timer function so the fan switches off automatic after a set amount of hours. Fan is also quite powerful on max, and fine on slowest noise is ok for a fan.

Bought another as a great price at 14.99 .plenty in stock around Manchester area . 5 left at Middleton.Be quick these will go faster than the burgers for the Barbie.Quality is absolutely fine for price .Nice and quite on full speed.
16" pedestal Daewoo fan for £12.99 @home bargains.
Got mine today and the swivel function is broken. Apart from that it's pretty powerful and sturdy enough. The feet are metal and body feels strong. Blades are light and feels like flimsy plastic but works well and not that noisy.
