Great buy at Toolstation in their clearance section. Metal finish (brushed, chrome or nickel) sockets, covers, switches and dimmers with great discount. The price of them was great to start with but now even less.

I ordered the Dimmers and they have a 25 year guarantee and an anti bac coating.

There might be some stock instor in your local area.

Remember these sockets are a bit deeper than normal.

Magnetic. A back plate that houses the electrical bit screws into the socket back box (which is slightly recessed). Then the front bit magentically sticks on. You just prise it off with a screwdriver for painting etc., I wondered too until I got one!

With the switch at the top...... as long as it's set at the position shown in the OP, the power will be on

You can make it stay off be switching it the other way ;-)

yes they looked alright I never bought any but just noticed them on my way out

I have some flat plate sockets in my house and I have to say I have mixed feelings about them. In the kitchen where they sit on top of the tiles they look smart. However on some of the plastered walls they look less so. Unless your walls are perfect (and I mean perfect as most of the house has been re-plastered in the last 2 years) I would think carefully imho.

Not knocking the deal though as I think I paid nearer £10 for mine.

Voted hot:thumbsup:
