stupidly missed out on the lidl deal in May as didn't realise I needed an sds drill then. was looking for someone else doing an sds drill around 40 quid which is what the lidl one would have cost me and originally found an energer one online m.screwfix.com/p/e…rue but when I went into pick it up saw they had this much better titan for a tenner more and snapped it up. not as nice as the lidl perhaps (that was a lot lighter) but best around at the moment

I have one of these, great tool, well built & let's face it for £50 it will pay for itself in no time at all - heat added

I have one too, these are good for the home user and you get all the drills and cutters, bought 2 years ago and still find it usefull, ripped up a tiled kitchen floor with it last year and didn't stop once, still working perfectly, can't say the same for me tho........

Just to clarify the accessory set with this at the £49.99 price includes the following:
5 x SDS+ drill bits (6 x 150, 8 x 150, 10 x 150, 12 x 150 and 14 x 150mm), 2 x SDS+ chisels (14 x 250mm flat and point), M13 chuck and adaptor, carry case

There is another version that includes even more but that one costs £79.99
8 x SDS masonry drill bits (6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20mm), 5 x SDS titanium coated drill bits (5, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm), 2 x diamond bits (65 and 80mm), 3 x chisels (SDS 'U', flat and point), carry case.

It is quite heavy at 6.3g. (almost a Stone in old money). I have the Lidl one (got it last year) as that's much lighter, but appreciate that one isn't currently available.

At 1500w this is also a lot more powerful than the lidl one. I won't ever need the extra oomph and would have settled for the lidl one if I could have got one now but compared to what else is currently available this seemed like a really good deal.

I have one of these and they're very heavy and cumbersome. Depends what you want it for but for general around the house diy my 2kg sds (bosch) is much easier to handle and plenty powerful enough. Wouldn't buy another unless I was breaking up a patio or something.

I have two other much lighter non SDS hammer drills (one wired one wireless) for general household DIY, and this is a lot bigger and bulkier, but I wouldnt say it was too unweildy, depends on the job you're doing.

I recently got a couple of diamond core bits for putting a large hole (want to thread power plugs through not just cables) into a block wall to access a new media unit and found they were SDS fittings hence me being in the market for a new drill. Having used it last night I couldnt believe how easily this Drill cut through the wall.

Obviously for small jobs like shelf brackets etc Id stick with the lightweight drills I already had but have already thought of a number of other more heavy duty jobs that this will come in very handy for

Good drill . But it sure blows the dust around if you're working in a confined space . I'm on my fourth one £50 can't go wrong really . Coring regularly will chew the gearbox up .

Does this have the mechanical clutch system on it? The price is still at 49.99 so looking to buy one if it has. Thanks
