It would be great for someone to post an image showing what they received, for peace of mind.

No reviews? As tempting as it is at that price, I’m swerving for the time being.
Over £110 everywhere else, interesting. thanks OP. I think it's for 500GB as other sellers for example CCL price is 80ish when on their website 1TB is for £111

I'm confused s to whether it's a full SSD or an SSHD. "HDD capacity. SSD Attitude" What does that even mean?!?!?

Delivery may well be an issue for many.

I think it's a bit of marketing spiel to suggest it's a large capacity ssd drive. The kind of capacity normally associated with mechanical hdd's.
Chance of Amazon fulfilling the order.. Nil
Think this is a mistake. Description says it's an SSHD.

If model number to be believed then this is 3D TLC SSD. See datasheet here:
seagate.com/www…pdf
"Yes, it seems to be a listing error. " Says Amazon CS.. It's a SSHD
  • SSD-like performance and responsiveness with Massive capacity

OK something is definitely wrong with this listing, the description suggests it's a SSHD, but the product code is for a SSD drive, so someone messed up somewhere.
I've ordered just incase, certainly has many suggestions it's an ssd they dont even make a barracuda sshd it's the firecuda that's an sshd

Bought based on the model. Description and image is often wrong anyway.

I think it's an ssd, there's no mention of spin speed 5400rpm or 7200rpm and I don't know if they'd use 3d nand on an sshd

Although shipped weight is pretty heavy for an ssd... ssds seem to ship at around 60g this says 100g
ordered , if its not a ssd i will Return it
Doubtful it is an SSD, the features suggest it is a hybrid HDD... But with Amazon's returns policy it is kind of worth seeing what turns up.

Features & details
  • SSD-like performance and responsiveness with Massive capacity
  • 2× the speed of standard drives for boot and load applications
  • Affordability with zero compromises
  • The BarraCuda portfolio is the go-to source for desktops and mobile computers
  • Take advantage of industry-leading capacity and snappy load times your games and heavy workloads expect
It is an SSD, you can find specs on seagate.com/gb/…sd/

I'm about 99% sure it's also a misprice and it's really the price of a 500GB version. Ordered one anyway (thanks!) but fully expect it to be cancelled.
Ordered the 2tb version at £109 too! That's on overclockers for £299

Seems to be unavailable now. I get an error when adding it to the basket.
Yup, this ain't no "proper" SSD as already noted:

  • SSD-like performance and responsiveness with Massive capacity
  • 2× the speed of standard drives for boot and load applications
I got one before it ran out and I am pretty sure it said 5 in stock at the time. If I now hit the button on the order to get it again it sends me to amazon.co.uk/gp/…K5G which is a different seller but still a pretty good price at £74.52 for a 1TB SSD with a 5 year warranty.

Just ordered one... Fingers crossed
Well I've had a go on ordering the 2TB - the part number listed on Amazon's page is the 2TB Seagate BarraCuda SSD - so although it's not one i'll be depending on turning up, it's worth a go.
Not anymore
if you look at the first sentence it says
SSD-like performance and responsiveness with Massive capacity

"ssd-like"

as well as the second sentence

2× the speed of standard drives for boot and load applications

"2x the speed" (should be 10x for ssd)

Check out the model though.
2TB deal now over as well..ordered 3..bit of a shambles with the description, lottery but hopefully any returns will not affect my amazon account as can possibly argue their description was misleading.
This is the spec sheet for the model in this thread seagate.com/www…pdf and it is quite clearly an SSD.

Ordered the 1TB but I REALLY wish I had seen this (anyone want to swap ). Don't really want the 1TB as I already have a 1TB SSD but the 2TB would have been a great upgrade for me

While they may all be cancelled anyway, I'd say the 1TB is more likely to be cancelled too as they will have had more orders to fulfil where as the 2TB seems to have only got a few orders and was removed sooner going by the comments....
This is Seagate's brand new venture into the wonderful world of pure solid state drives, better late than never!

Ordered 1 of each, 1tb & 2tb and confirmed with Seagate, that the correct EAN for this 1tb model is 0763649137864

Specification:
- Interface: SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5" /7mm cased
- NAND Flash Memory: 3D TLC
- Sequential Read up to (MB/s): 580
- Sequential Write up to (MB/s): 540

- Warranty: 5 years

Hope that helps with anyone who thinks they might get a hybrid drive, instead of a ssd, if they turn up as hssd.. back and send them, come to mind!

At this loony price, well worth the wait and see, plus as they had them in stock, but did not know where (that's what the wait is for) they would be allocated to, the stock will come out, much earlier, just look to the bottom right of your "printable" order summary and see it has £0 taken as a token gatekeeper test on your card, if its verified, its a proper order processed
"2 x SSD speed" SSHD - marketing talk.

Not out of the box but when coupled with Intel Optane memory.
That price will probably be the normal cost in a few months for ssd drives.
Good luck to all who ordered.Always worth a shot.

Money taken for 2TB one also

Fingers crossed it's actually an SSD ...

Looks like they are going to honour as mine updated to July 11th too, but I cancelled as I don't want a 1TB (already have one) and didn't want to buy it just to sell on, wish I had seen the 2TB before they sold out

Just have to hope they do something similar on prime day, though I'd be surprised....

Not much margin on the 1TB.. & people will be reticent about unproven SSD.. despite being a Segate. Be very surprised if the 2TB is honoured
