Really good price for these drives, specially designed to run 24/7 within NAS Drives.

Usually found around the £65 mark, not sure if this is a misprice or not, either way doesn't matter I suppose.

I'll admit I'd not noticed that, used to filtering for Prime and having it as Amazon. Still, seems ok as excellent seller reviews.

Good spot though
Marketplace - good luck with that, especially if this is running 24/7

I've bought other products from the Marketplace before and gone ahead and registered them with the manufacturer just fine, any warranty issue I can take it up with them direct.

Plain packaging, basically a corrugated cardboard box and some foam.

Market place means that someone is selling on Amazon, a bit like one would on eBay.

There are two types of seller, those they treat it like eBay and just pay Amazon a percentage of the sale and deal with all of the shipping and customer service themselves.

Or there is this type of seller who have a strong link with Amazon and allows them to deal with all of the stock and deliveries, etc.

Yes, I was going to go WD Red as my NAS is A WD one, but £20 or so a drive made me opt this way.

They’re both NAS specific drives.
I’m after a couple of 4TBs. 2 wouldn’t cut it for me and would need to upgrade within a year or so
Mine got despatched late last night, good spot OP

Mine too, based on seller location it’s probably coming from Madrid or something

I used to need a lot more, but now that I stream all my music and films I just need the drives for backup, mostly pictures and home movies of the kids.

I’ve just changed my NAS as I want to use a Raid system that lets me have a backup of the backup. Wife would never forgive me if anything happened we to her photos of the kids and family.

Same here, the home videos are big files. I like to keep the raw data too. I’ve got 7 years of kids home videos and photos so it’s building rapidly. I will have a raid 1 set up so it’s mirrored so if one fails the data is still there. I also have a 5TB potable with all important stuff and burn all the videos to Blu-ray Discs so hopefully I have it backed up enough to never feel the wrath of the mrs

Crazy how were so paranoid about data loss now, my old man used to put one copy on a vhs/Betamax tape and that would be it.. it lasted though that’s the difference
Looks like the seller has noticed and corrected their mistake, price increased to normal levels now.
