if I'm paying someone that much for a home visit they'd better be plugging more than a cable... that came out wrong

Good find and price, heat added
Heated great price, always amazes me why we see so many 1tb drives posted around £40 as a deal when you can double up on storage for so little more.
Have some heat ,but what does without “expert installation” mean?

so I was curious and had to look:

What's included
  • Setting up a scheduled backup for your computer
  • Backup occurs to customer-provided drive or cloud
  • Identification of critical files that need backup
  • Walkthrough of backup schedule and configuration
  • If additional works are required, additional costs may be incurred

the "Identification of critical files that need backup" part concerns me, how thorough would they look through files cause they must find some interesting things
Anyone know if these can be cracked open and used as an internal drive?

It states:
"If additional works are required, additional costs may be incurred"
Paid £53 from J. Lewis for a 4TB Portable.

No time machine but worth checking their store now and again.
Not bad i need 3 external drives for back up but i am holding out for black friday or over the Christmas hol`s sales also the other issue is that this is a Seagate drive not the most reliable.
Can they be used for recording on Smart TVs?
I have an LG and want to record live TV etc

Yes. I use a wd passport. You can also download films.. Or your family photos.. Etc.. And play them on the big TV. Most new tvs for the last 4-5 years allow this

Yes. 2TB is the largest usable size I have found that works with a TV.
