The description on Amazon states this is a 2GB drive but it's actually the 2TB model, as others have mentioned in the Questions section.

A bargain for £49.99 compared to other similar spec drives.

Next day delivery available via Amazon Prime

Yes, have the same one inside mine. Put the 500gb one back in this case. Will probably connect the 500gb externally now that I'm nearly filling up the 2tb.

What is the difference between SSD and HDD

SSD is Solid State Drive - no moving parts, faster and more rugged but more expensive than traditional HDD .
HDD is Hard Disk Drive - contains a data disk which rotates (typically 5400 or 7200 RPM). This is slower to read/write than SSD but you get more storage density for your money.
OOS now thanks bought the last one I think Thursday delivery

What is the difference between SSD and HDD

Simply put SSDs (flash drives) have no moving parts so should be more reliable. They are up to 5 times faster than HDD (mechanical spinning disks) drives.

SSDs are often installed as boot drives where the operating system and main programmes are installed, so that the operating system starts up much quicker - around 30 to 40 seconds, compared to on a HDD where start up time can be anything from 90 seconds to 3 minutes or more.

As they cost more SSDs have smaller capacities. HDDs are often used for storage or for large programmes as they are cheaper and have larger storage capacity.

HDDS are more prone to failure, especially if used in a mobile environment, ie laptop which is carried around or if the laptop is dropped, or as an external drive.

There are hybrid drives which combine a small amount of flash Memory to speed up some processes but are essentially a mechanical drive. Steer clear of these as they are more unreliable than HDDs

Damn I just purchased this for £54 on the Amazon big thanks offer
Can someone please recommend another external hard drive for ps4?

Or perhaps point out what I should be looking for in a PS4 HD
Ordered 2 thanks
£70 now eurgh £5 delivery. Not sure how many in stock at that
Thanks OP. Received today and can confirm it is not only the 2TB model, but also comes with 2 year rescue service. Only mentioning in case anyone else who ordered had any qualms, as Amazon listing shows it compared against 1TB drives rather than 2TB ones.
