Wish I could afford one now!
Hard drive prices seem to have suddenly plummeted.

Heat added.
Still not sure whether to get it now or hold out a bit longer oO
Really good price for 3tb.
Horridly ugly thing, but 3TB for little over £90 is def a hot deal! Heat!

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm thinking early january will see them hit even cheaper. I was looking through some old amazon orders this morning and found a WD 1.5TB I bought in early 2011 for £35. Doubtful they will ever come down that low anytime soon though
Very good price. Heat added.
Can't quite work out how the internal drives are more expensive than the external ones
Heat given, £31/tb & usb3.

I remember those days too,
Would this work on a iMac ?

Not really. The floods in Thailand caused the prices to go up. Now they're just coming back to normal again.

I see no reason why not.

Will need to either format it to Mac OS Extended. Or FAT 32 which works on both mac or windows, but you will be limited to max 4GB file sizes with the latter.

Think Seagate has a software (NTFS Driver for Mac OS?) which would mean you would not have to reformat it (therefore can drag and drop via both PC and MAC). This software was on this site in the Freebies Section but can't seem to find it now,

Edit: Found the link now

remember this only works for seagate hard drives, you have to pay to open it up for other drives
