Good price for this 4TB drive

Nothing says Game Over for the Xbox One experience like an overloaded hard drive. Boost your console’s storage capacity with the Seagate Game Drive for Xbox, the only external drive designed exclusively for Xbox. In a portable drive that fits in your pocket, you can store your current game collection and downloadable content with tons of space left over for your next most anticipated games.

With up to 4 TB of additional storage for your Xbox One, you can save the world or even the galaxy and all the games that are worth keeping. Free up space on your console’s internal drive while consolidating 100+ Xbox One games into a single location.

Game Drive for Xbox connects to any USB port on your console, and Plug-and-play functionality gives you instant power up. Your Xbox One automatically detects your drive and walks you through a hassle-free setup process that will have your drive game-ready in moments. Unplug the Seagate Game Drive and take your entire game library to a friend’s house. It’s small enough to slip into your backpack and doesn’t need a separate power cord, so you can play your games but eat their snacks.

I got this 4TB Game Drive from Very for £54.99 back in November last year.

And is it any good? Or would you not recommend buying a time machine to get it at your price?

Would this implode if used for PS4...

Nah. It's just Xbox branded bud. Same thing under the skin.
Wow prices on storage are falling every day
Failure rate too high on these, not worth the hassle.
Thanks, @reindeer333 - heat added
Would like to know if the 2.5" drive in this could be salvaged for internal use. Some of the newer drives have the usb3 connection hardwired on and don't have SATA.
Never had an issue with the Game Drive products. Call me a sucker but I have the 2TB green drive and also the 1TB SSD which is excellent.
missed WD 4TB offer, order this instead. thanks. heated.

Now under £70!
Can you not just use any external usb drive? Not necessarily a xbox or game branded one.

You can indeed just use any external USB drive. This is just branded for Xbox but it's just a regular 4TB drive in a enclosure that allows USB connections.

Thanks, keeps dropping by £1 at various intervals
Seagate are terrible drives - if you're buying this - don't put anything important on it.

Had too many fail on me in the past losing important data (my fault not backing up elsewhere) - lesson learned. I only stick with WD these days.
Good price for an XBox branded Drive. I have 2 external 1TBs and they are both full.. So I may buy this so I will then have 5.5TB and a 1TB spare
Does it work with PS4 boss?
Would be good as a external storage which I could hide inside my PC, I could run a USB cable on the side of the tower and plug it in when I need ut.
There was a big batch of terribly unreliable Seagate drives, but my understanding was that they were all the 3TB model, and the 4TB wasn't as bad. Is that incorrect, then?

Why not save money and space by only downloading a game if you think you will play it that week/month

Because some of us want to play a game we haven't played in a while and to put it back on the PS4 (don't know about Xbox) takes time to install the game and updates as well as any DLC. We can't jsut plan what games we want to play :P

Just if you have a library of say 500 games do you really need to have every single one downloaded taking up space If you don't have fibre broadband then just leave the console on overnight to download some games you think you might play that week/month.

Seagate very rarely use USB PCBs (usually only on the 'Samsung' models rebranded with their signage), and the newer Samsung/Maxtor/Seagate 2TB+ drives are all internally Seagates, so it's very very likely it'll be a SATA drive with a USB connector.

That is very wise Yoshi. I am my own worst enemy. I have over 80 games installed and about another 180 in my uninstalled library. I like to have a selection of choice. But I spend more time deciding what to play than actually playing the game. And I only ever have approximately 5 games on regular rotation. You've got me thinking now. Tonight I am going to scythe through my games and uninstall anything that has not been played for 1 month.

Well not all 500 no :P i have about 400 digital and 150 physical. i only have games installed that i actually want to play. No point in downloading all the Plus games if youre never going play them.
Unless you need one. It's a black Friday affair.

Have you ever had any trouble with controller input lag whilst having the external drive plugged in?? I get it often and online it says the external could cause it, gets annoying with online gaming

Yes, why not.
It only works with Games, nothing else.
Adding to the basket now the price comes out at £89.99 and it's saying out of stock.

Glad I got an order in a few minutes ago

Seagate external drives are usually good and drives inside have normal sata connector. Its the western digital ones which have usb port soldered to the drive. If you have to avoid an external drive, then western digital is the one to avoid in all mean. Research on this though but I am quite sure the drive has a normal sata.
