Fine with Xbox. Plus in an initialise it and good to go. Downside is this will fill up quickly and not a large capacity drive.
Can I upgrade my 2010 Imac with this?
Good price for portable SSDHeat
Super find, thanks - Heat
It seems the link takes you to £74, dont know why, but if you scroll down you will see it at £46.39

Thanks! Strangely enough, this got lots of cold votes too. Don't understand why, as this is the cheapest SSD was ever posted in HUKD, only one posted for slightly more, but from Amazon Germany and expired now...I think this is a very good price.
Shuckable? What drive is inside?
Specs state only 400MB/s; limitation of USB3, or crap SSD?
why on earth is this not usb c

It's SSD and not sure if 400MB/s is crap. I have several SSD, Thunderbolt port on laptop, Gen 2 and Thunderbolt cable and none of my HDs go over 480MB/s. I only came across a couple of SSD with double this speed, but nowhere near the 10Gb/s as some suggest in the specs. Both these were about £300-500.

I think the ones suggesting 5-10-40GB refers to transmission rate, rather than transfer speed, which is quite misleading, but this is what most HD companies claim.

This is the only reason I'm not buying it. But I have to say this is fine to use it with your TV and not only.
Any idea on camera write speeds? Looking at using this for Tesla sentry mode.
If you're ok with half the storage capacity and you want to pay less, I posted this deal which may suit some:

Welcome to HUKD, it's a joke sometimes good deals get voted cold all the time and it's frustrating.
You can buy a 1TB WD internal for £79 and use a usb to sata cable to use it as an external drive.

So is 500GB for £46 all that hot?

Is this you, Sam of London ?
You can also buy a 1TB external SSD for £79 and you don't need to mess building your own one.
This deal is hot because this is a very good price for 500GB external SSD, in fact the best price ever posted here.
Some people don't know how to make their own one, they can't be bothered, they want an original product or they want to give it as a present.
Also, even £79 may be better value for 1TB, some don't need 1TB or they don't want to spend this much.
If I look this way, I will say buy a recertified 1TB WD, portable but non SSD for £28 and is better value than the £79 one you suggested/my deal.
I posted another deal, half the size for about £33 and that deal is more popular than this one, even the price per GB is better here. Some people don't need large capacity.

Still available to order just no known delivery date. I'm buying for my Xbox One X to put some games like Cyberpunk and Watch Dogs Legion on will just treat it as my current playing games drive for big story titles that will otherwise take minutes to load.
