In theory this would be a cheap upgrade for your laptop, netbook or nettop (as long it's definitely 9.5" in height) - video below covering how to open one up (larger capacity model).

YouTube - Opening a Seagate Expansion Portable 750GB External Hard Drive
Embedded Link

Not the best video in the world BUT if you ensure to remove the screws from underneath the rubber feet cover your good for getting into the case from what I remember seeing.

To be honest with you, i'd probably go for this:

amazon.co.uk/Wes…8-1

instead, I prefer Western Digital from my own experience with both brands and it's only £6 extra for double the space. And it's 7200 RPM instead of your 5400 RPM

What you are suggesting is a desktop drive. the one in this deal is a portable.

My bad, sorry! Hehe. I stick by my decision though as I don't need it to be portable But apologies for the dodgy post

Got 1 on order

same price at Currys, collect from store

also 88p topcashback

Dropped down to £34.90p.

So Currys / PCWorld & TopCashback are cheaper by 69p and its probably local so you can pick up and 2 years warrenty as well

There are no screws underneath the rubber feet.
