wow!! prices on these going crazy!!
They seem to be dropping to prices from years ago before floods affected Thailand and other places where these HDs are manufactured. I seem to recall them predicting a rise in prices in the subsequent years

Friends on the definition of safe.

I would say Geo distributed triple backup is quite safe.

They'll TRY to get your data back, there's no guarantee they will be able to.

If you want your data to be safe then you need MULTIPLE copies of your data very preferably in multiple locations, then if one drive fails you just buy a new drive then just copy your stuff onto it from one of your backups and carry on safe in the knowledge you haven't lost any data.
Between £112 & £125 in Hong Kong, so for UK this actually does represent a good deal for this 5T 2.5HDD, if had the funds would pick up for Xbox One, but can wait until I get back to HK after Christmas, given poor internet speed we have in UK presently.
All that Tb goodness....delivered by a Courier!

Good price, voted hot. If you don't need 5TB, this 4TB one is *slightly* cheaper per/TB @ 95 quid. Similar enough in price to not warrant a separate post...

It should be fine as an external drive just needs to be reformatted to suit the PS4. You can have drives upto 8tb as external.

WRONG PRICE FOR THIS PRODUCT
The Amazon Sock Puppets have been at it again, if you punch through to the deal you will find:

Seagate Backup Plus 5 TB USB 3.0 Portable 2.5 inch External Hard Drive for PC and Mac - Silver

RRP: £169.99 Price: £143.99 Delivery at no additional cost for Prime Members You Save: £26.00 (15%)

NOT THE £119.99 THE POSTER SUGGESTS. BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN £143.99 and £119.99.

BEWARE.

The people commenting favourably on this product are therefore Amazon Dock Puppets or have not actually looked at the deal itself on Amazon.

Again, the marketing rationale is transparent. Get them to foll the product link, hope they'll buy it anyway having got that far!
It was 119 earlier, just means this has expired
