Top features:
- High speed data transfer means less time waiting for files to copy
- Connect external devices via two USB ports
- Backup from your phone directly to your hard drive

High speed data transfer

The Seagate Backup Plus External Hard Drive connects to your PC or Mac via USB 3.0, which means you can take advantage of transfer speeds up to ten times faster than USB 2.0.
Don't worry if you have USB 2.0 connections, as the Backup Plus is compatible with those as well. You can also switch seamlessly between PC and Mac without formatting thanks to the NTFS driver included.

Connect external devices

By using the Backup Plus you actually gain an extra USB 3.0 slot as it has two front-facing ports, allowing you to connect extra devices. You can even charge a device if your computer is turned off.

Backup from your phone

With the Seagate Mobile App you are able to back up all of your important pictures and videos to the BackupPlus.

Schedule automatic backups at a time to suit you and don't worry about losing files or folders again.

Because it's Seagate, a lot of bad rep to overcome. This Engadget article made me laugh - Seagate voted top with an "acceptable 9% failure rate"
Nice deal - just bought it. Went with Currys over ebay for the £5 voucher

IDk, in this century of money making and corporation, with fewer manufacturers around and same country... China. I think it is how we use it, and being unlucky. I have many seagates and no problem. If buyer abuse or over use the hard drive, then the failure is higher.
