Small drive, large storage for your digital life on your computer and mobile devices

Great deal
great deal
Thanks OP
I'm tempted, but in an older thread about a desktop one, someone said over 2tb in a portable drive and reliability drops off considerably. Does anyone know if this is the case or not?

Can't see that being true as everyone on here goes nuts and buys like 8TB and 12TB drives all the time.

Not sure to be honest, I have 2 of these but in 2tb drives that have been backing up my Synologies with daily incremental and full monthly backups for 3 years now and they are still going strong (no bad sectors). It would be interesting to know what the MTBF is for drives according to size...
My wife's oldest external drive is 2tb Seagate and she has a 4tb Seagate a couple of years old both have been ultra reliable so far,and used daily

Yeah, I think those are desktop drives in those capacities though. This was specifically the portable issue.
Does anyone know the drives that are in these. Looking for something for recording audio to.
I'm tempted because I have two seageate drives around 10yrs old which haven't been used for 5 years which seemed to work fine (but we're previously used 24*7)
Well I have just done a Google, can't find evidence of the >2tb tail off another poster claimed, so not sure what their source was (but would still be interested to know). As all of the sites I have just skimmed say, buy expecting failure and have a plan in place (i.e. Mirror backups, use cloud storage too etc, don't put all your eggs in one basket, quite obviously)
Does anyone know if this will work with a xbox one x as a external hard drive?
Anyone know if Curry’s delivery times are as normal? Don’t want to wait around for 2-3 weeks.

They usually tell you on the postcode checker the expected delivery timeframe. I haven’t ordered personally since social distancing came into effect, so can’t guarantee that it is still accurate but all of my orders from Currys have been within the timeframe, pre lockdown.
