Good price
I used this for my PS4 Pro
Good price for these, and i personally like a 2tb max on my HDD because i don't like all my eggs in one basket with larger HDD.

2TB enough for Xbox or better going for 4TB?

You'll probably get about 30-40 games on a 2TB, assuming they're 40-50GB each. So it depends how many games you have now, and how quickly you'll fill it up in future.

If you think you need 4TB, you can get this one for £94.99.

2TB enough for Xbox or better going for 4TB?

I have a 500GB console and 3TB drive, and with purchases and freebies from Gold from the past 12 months (and couple of EA Access games), I'm about 75% full. 2TB should be enough

More than enough, and they run from the xbo USB ports so no need for another cable runing from the HDD into a wall socket.
Good, but not as good as the deal I thought I was going to get!

(This is from the Amazon Today's Deals webpage).

Anyone know if these 2TB drives are (SMR) shingled? Like the 5TB’s are.
Does anyone here have one of these?
I’ve needed an external hard drive for a while but once I see bad reviews I talk myself out of the purchase.
Considering you can no longer purchase a "recertified" 2TB portable for less than £50. This is

Might just about be sufficient for an S granted but it's nowhere enough for an X, I had to move from my green Xbox branded one of these to a 4TB one as soon as I took delivery of my shiny new console last month.

In actual fact I'm looking to sell my Xbox branded 2TB Seagate plate now it's surplus to requirements and seeing these going for 60 quids has probably knocked an apple off the resale value of it

Read my above contribution
^^You do know you can use more than one HDD right, you can stick that 2tb into another port and then you got almost 6tb of gaming HD goodness, and as you say, 4k needs more space, so sorted.

why would it be?
I have a couple of 2TB drives like this from Seagate, but think they're an old version.

Does anyone know if these are easy to open?

These drives could be a cheap and quiet option for a storage drive in a PC. I always find 3.5" drives are too noisy.
Thanks ordered, need one for my Xbox

I've got 3 of these, fitted one to my PS4 and have never had a problem.

Yes they are easy to open, I used a thin piece of plastic and opened it without damaging the enclosure. Put my old PS4 drive in it and clipped it back together. You wouldn't know it had been opened.
Can u plug these right in ur ps4? I've no pc or laptop if it needs formated
Can this be dismantled and put into a desktop/laptop?

Can this be dismantled and put into a desktop/laptop?

I don't see why not, it'll just be a standard 2.5" HDD inside and so should work fine for a laptop.
Isn't this particular model the really old one? As in 6 years old version 80mb/s internals?

Or has anyone opened one and it is the Samsung spinpoint in it
