Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Hard Drive £56.96 @ Novatech

Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 64MB Cache Hard Drive SATA 6GB/s. Cheapest 2TB drive I can find at the moment.

It's listed cheaper at Aria.co.uk but their delivery charge (displayed after you put the item into the shopping cart) pushes the total above Novatech's price (which includes free delivery)

And if you're wondering why anyone would buy a drive as "small" as 2TB these days, there could be all sorts of reasons: budget, don't need more, need lots for a raid-5 NAS, etc.

If the price per TB is good I'll buy any size. Unfortunately that magic marker for me is £25/TB which this doesn't beat

I just posted a deal for a Toshiba 3TB drive (£69.97) that fits your price criterion.
hotukdeals.com/dea…745

3.5" drive, just in case you're wondering.

Scan's standard price £56.94 and if you have free next day delivery status then you are quids in especially when disks are in Today Only section.

Can't seem to find the rpm on the website?

Their 3Tbs certainly, or rather certain models, but their other drives are no worse (even better TBH) than the average WD.

The number of Toshiba drives in that summary chart is far too low to be statistically significant. That's not to suggest they're bad drives, only that you can't draw any conclusions from Backblaze's latest data.

That’s only last quarter of this year. They doing it since 2013 I think. All the data is on the website.
Toshibas are as reliable as wd blacks now but for the price of wd blue.

I need to replace 2 HDDs in a QNAP, the other 4 are enterprise class WDs but I don't have that kind of money! Any thoughts on best replacement on the cheap? Is the Toshiba DT01ACA200 any good, van get them for under £60?
