The drives being referred to are 7200.9 specification which are normally found in entry level desktops and low cost servers.

The 7200.10 offers much higher reliability levels and is designed to support business-critical applications running on high-performance workstations.

The 500Gb 7200.10 drive has superceded the 7200.9 and at this price it cannot be beaten for all round reliability and price performance.
